BTW: what do you mean, HOLD the compressor wheel still for 20 minutes? Like, hold the thing from spinning while starting the motor? Wouldnt you cut your fingers off?

Hell no, unless you decided to rev the motor up when you fired it up. :)

I just cranked the car up while my buddy (love how I did that :D) held the compressor wheel, then we switched off. It's in the exhaust gas - it's not like it's freakin' belt driven, lol.

Damn right Zombie thread. This thread always pops up when I do a search for the T70 ebay special, so I wanted to add my info to this thread... keep it consolidated, right?

Not really, I just cleaned up mine. (And mine was not nearly as loaded with oil as the one you are showing.)

Is that a Masterpower unit? Or is that XS Power?

Mine is slightly different I think. (MP T70 is not the same turbo as the XS Power T70.)

The only thing my turbo had was some anti sieze compound on the hot side at the heat shield. (I'll put some back there again when I put it back together, but I'm coating the CHRA, Hot side, manifold and my now modified again DP.) Oh, and all the WG parts that I can as well, housing, and valve etc.

MDC, I tossed a thread in the Turbo Tech forum... would you need dimensions of the bearings, shaft, or what? Supposedly a T4 p-trim turbine wheel...

Well, IIRC both the Masterpower and SSAC turbo's use P-trim wheels with "small" shafts, but the compressor wheels are different as are the CHRA's that hold it all together.

The MP T-70 has a 69.5mm minor and like a 98 major? The SSAC is like 61.5mm minor and IDK the major side.

Both use larger sized compressor housings, the MP is a .70AR. (The SSAC looks to be a .60 or .70 right?)

Some specs on these turbo's posted up would be great. I'll pull mine for sure later if you guys want the data. (I belive Ebay has this however where they are sold.)

I have to say I'm completely pleased with the quality of the MP T70. Excellent turbo for what they cost to buy.
