Aww, I kinda liked it.

I don't think any of my points were actually for anything any tech, all just stuff I said in OT that ppl agreed w/ or found funny. Or Boost Lee giving me rep for something about Indy ;-)
And I knew not to take it seriously about having lots of bars means you know a lot, cuz thats not true. But the green bars were kinda fun.

Oh well, nbd, but I'll miss it.

Am I the only person who have a lot of rep who doesnt really give a shit?

:wavey: I was kinda neat while it lasted, but it did get out of hand, and I'll admit I was one of the people that got carried away with it.

People should not look to someone else who has big rep points as a supra god anyways, it doesn't prove anything. People should learn to depend on people who provide factual and helpful information.

Even that was ok, at least it meant SOMETHING. Even if it was an indicator of how many people agreed with you it was something.

When it just became "I'll start a thread and ask people for rep" thing, that's when I got disgusted with it.

C'est la vie... Give a fool a rope and he'll hang himself with it...

The only reason I miss it is because it said............Suprahero is a supra God.......when you rested your arrow on it.
I did like the idea of the mods giving rep when it was called for, but that's just one more thing for them to do, I guess..........lol

Yup, I'm rolling about it. I love that avatar.
Those weird English rules are, well, weird, but it still pisses me off when people can't get them right. The biggest one that the avatar missed: You don't loose something, you either lose it or loosen it.
I am guilty of a few of those though:
-Thru
-Definitely
-Tho
-Prolly
are my most common shortenings...nbd...

Its not that freakin' complicated.
(BTW, before someone corrects me on it, the one thing I haven't bothered to get straight is its vs. it's, so thats probably the wrong one...oh well)

The sad thing is, on every forum I post on people still say +1 and -1 even though there is no rep system...
Well, on the motorcycle boards I used to be on, it was just a way to show agreement. You would quote a person's post and say "+1" if you had the same views. It didn't have anything to do with repping.

Laughing my ass off at SC's scrolling avatar.
Same here. It's very informative. :icon_bigg

On topic: the rep points were sometimes helpful in separating the knowledgeable from not-so-knowledgeable people, but seeing the way someone posts (explanation, grammar, spelling, etc.) or doing a quick search of their previous posts can do the same.

perhaps rep should have been like post counts...don't let them count in o/t
Thats what I was thinking, but sometimes, however very rarely there are rep worthy posts in OT.
