removing accordian hose from turbo?

If you disconnect the accordian hose, you need to make sure that you have a few other things in place.
Something to replace the AFM. Probably something like a MAF-T to use manifold pressure to tell the ECU how much air is going through. Once you do that, that takes care of most of it.
Or... Go full standalone.
If yo just remove that hose, then the AFM is going to read zero. The ECU is going to think that's not valid (And it's right.) and throw a code at you. The car will sort of run... Sort of.
Basically, don't do it until you KNOW why you're doing it, and what you've done to replace that it connects.

There are two kinds of people who run open turbo.
Show cars, that don't really run.
And people who don't know any better or don't care, and will need a new turbo (and likely engine) in short order after something flies in that would normally be stopped by the air filter.

ooo i thought better air flow for the turbo ok wont do it then thanks and honestly not gona lie 35% of me wanted to do for looks cant help my self but i kno theres no cold air intakes would it be a bad i dea to make one i have somethign drawn up what do yall think ?
worst idea ever.....as grim said...you will destroy your turbo not to mention your car won't run without the AFM unless you have an upgraded system that allows its removal
CAI is a great idea. Making one that will fit with all the mods people have done is going to be a PITA.5l_eater;925519 said:
