Remove all traces of viton with acetone and a brush. Coat with copper seal and let stand 45 mins to tack up, re spray once more before install and make sure that gasket falls directly into place with out moving around for fitment. All this can be done provided you didn't ruin either of the sealing surfaces. I have a lapping stone you can borrow for your block and head if need be. The honing should have been done at the machine shop, did your uncle not make you aware of this?

Yes it is a brand new Titan MHG

If there is any of the coating coming off, you'll have to scrap it, if there is not, I would reuse it like it is, but I like taking some risks.

Brand new MHG - never been run. Tell me, what are the odds the viton will separate from the metal layers?
I have a novel idea - take the head off and take a look. The cylinders must be honed anyway and it just might be a good idea to assemble the engine in the correct sequence with the correct size bearings. I can tell you with 100% accuracy what will happen if you skip a step or take short cuts and it won't be pretty.

I took the head off and the headgasket is 100% fine. Im gunna send the block to the machine shop probly friday or saturday to get honed.

Oh, and I will be assembling it the right way now. I realize that I fucked up ok? We all make mistakes once and a while.

Good job Brent.

I made a mistake once, then realized that my mistake was that I wasn't mistaken in the first place.

Thanks guys!

I'm soo excited to get this running. I'm hoping to have all the parts next week and have it mostly together by next weekend.

And since I was told that red is the most expencive paint to buy I've decided between 2 colors...

Flat Black with a Clear Coat is my first choice

And my second choice is to go the cheap way and buy the "Duplicolor Paint Shop" - "Performance Red" color and just spray it with that....But I really want the flat black...

The dupicolor gloss black worked out pretty good with my car, plus if you paint your car black and were at a meet I'm sure we'll mistake which car is which aside from the interior color since I am also now spoilerless :p

But I have no emblem on the front and I'll have a Recaro racing seat and cage in mine ;-)

Doing things your way is a plus, the analog is different and it is most important that you like it. This is what makes us Supra enthusiasts unique; we all like different things.

I recognize that you need to do laundry. :D Nice seat too. ;)
