Mine is a TiAl but also 60mm. I think they would sound very similar..

Sounds the same as the HKS GT 60mm on the 2JZ-GTE with a similarly sized turbo. Not sure how it would sound on a 7M though.

here's a couple pictures of how I did mine, I made sure the dump is pointing down, this way the sound gets muffled by the ground :D

For some reason my HKS 40mm wastegate is much louder than my Tial 44mm wastegate. The Tial has a little angle pushing slightly towards the back of the car, while the HKS is pointing straight to the gound.

With that said I want to route mine back into the exhaust, or put a muffler on it.

Yeah, any exhaust pointed directly at the ground will sound louder. All those sound waves are just bouncing off the ground and reverberating in the car.

Hmm, mine is really not that loud...And no exhaust smell either.
This is funny: When I was racing you at the Pac NW meet, I heard a strange noise and I thought I might have broken my clutch or tranny. Turns out it was the sound of your wastegate muffled through my helmet and closed windows. I had never heard your WG before, so it took me till the end of the run to figure out what I was hearing. :biglaugh:

I'm surprised no one has tried a small motorbike or lawnmower muffler!

My 44mm Tial recirc's at an angle into my 3.5" DP, I don't imagine I'm losing much power because of it.
