ian: blown away. haha. i'm blown away. i knew you had it, but it never really HIT me. i never actually thought to myself: "hey chris, ian has a ford 9" rear in his supra!". haha!

brian: thanks! he's awesome!

suprabad:
heh, that was ONE winter, and i only took it out on days where there was no snow. (if you look closely in that video, there's no snow on the pavement, but there are some pebbles)

and honestly, you can't tell from the pics, but the rust you see on there is all surface rust. i can't even scrape it off with anything. a bit of sand paper makes it disappear!

however, i honestly don't care how it happened, so long as it NEVER happens again! ;)

and no, you won't catch me sliding anywhere in the winter, but you'll find me anywhere sliding in the summer. ;)

Snow? I will make you guys cringe...couldnt get it into the garage when it started....Damn near cried!

I have just notice all your diffs are different to mine, mine has a cooling tower on the front of it. Are yours not LSD's?? Can't see why my euro spec car would have a cooler and US spec cars don't (as its normally hotter in the US, well in the lower states)

also, that can't be natural.... must be the drugs, no way its 9"
The gear inside of it has a 9" diameter. The whole housing is a lot larger with all of the re-enforcement and such. It's designed to be a load-bearing member of a solid rear axle, as opposed to just a ball to hold the gearing like on the Supra.
