dont feel bad, mine has been down since 1/20-and i didnt even pull my motor! wont be back up for a couple months too-honestly with gas prices and the heat of Florida-who can blame us for long downtime?!?

Head studs in, HKS head gasket sprayed & placed & head torqued to 95 lbs.

Look close at the head stud in the 1st picture & you'll notice some blood. This motor already owns my ass.....

Thanks Group.

I'm stopping for the day. I mocked up the hot side :love: . I can't do much more until I get me freeze plugs put in. :nono: Oh well, I'll get some from my local Toyota dealership on Monday.

I'm quite pleased, to say the least....

Tomorrow I plan on finishing assembling the motor. If possible, I want to get the manifolds on too, but I have to helicoil the exhuast studs using BigAarons kit (shameless plug ;) ), so I don't know if that will happen or not. We'll see.

What is BigAarons kit you speak of? I'm going to be helicoiling my exaust studs soon as well.

Let me know.

read this thread. I bought it from Aaron, worth every penny. The same stuff cost $5 less locally, but I would have had to drive all over Gods creation to get everything. I highly recommend buying his kit....

Not much has happened lately, just doing the BigAaron exhaust stud conversion. I have a few parts I need to pick up before I can set the engine. I'm still hoping to have it running by the 23rd, meaning getting the engine set, but that's getting to be a stretch.
