I'm debating between the Eagle rods, and the rabid chimp rods.
Should i just spend the extra 75 for the eagle rods?
Or will the "race prepped" rods hold up to about 400-500ft tq?

Let me know your ideas and/or thoughts.

if i remeber correclty, mike mallory shot a stock race prepped rod out of his block around 550-600 horse,

i remember seeing nate, run 840 w/ 100 shot if i am right on a set of eagle rod's .

im not ot sure on the make up or other constuction of the rod's, bolts or pistons, but i choose to pick up a set of eagles when my goals surpassed 500, if i wanted a dd of more then 600 i would up for a better set then eagles though.

eagles can hold the power but very well still can fail sooner then a better product, but from what i read eagle may be using the same techniques to make their product now.

pretty much this is what i decided when i was looking for rod's.

stock=450 +/- 50hp
eagles=700 +/- 150hp
pauters +carrolos (sp)=1000k+

^^^that is more so to say which are better. but also tune depends on power out put and how much power they last for.

Hell I just posted a question like this, and from my conversation with the tech engineer at Eagle their rods for the 7mgte will handle up to 1600 horse power. There use to be a rumor that their rod bolts suck, but they are now using arp2000 rod bolts. Soooo who's saying that the Eagle rods will only handle up to 700rwhp with a 100-150+/- with conclusive factual data, or is it just a thought and hear say information. You guys kill me with the misinformation that you pass on. How about saying that I don't know rather than to push inaccurate inormation.

Plus, I haven't heard too many great things about Rabid Chimp and thier motor building skills, so I personally wouldn't trust them with a set of con rods...

Elaborate.

I have ordered from him atleast 3 times and had a very good experience. From my days of owning a MKII and being on celicasupra.com a lot I remember him being thought highly of within that community.
