They sell you an engine with the exhaust and intake cams swapped...
No orings on injectors, gaskets missing, etc...etc...

Did you ask for this engine to be completely rebuilt? Aaron does not completely rebuild these engines unless asked.

This is what he installs, unless otherwise instructed:

Titan Motorsports 1.4mm metal head gasket
ARP head studs
Thermostat w/ gasket
Water pump
Timing belt
Timing belt tensioner
Front and rear crankshaft main seals
Oil pump drive shaft seal
Front camshaft seals
Valve cover gaskets
Oil filter
Bosch platinum spark plugs

He has nothing to do with taking off the intake manifold or messing with the injectors (again, unless otherwise instructed). So more than likely, it was the fault of whoever worked on the engine last. Which isn't hard to believe. I acquired an engine recently that was COMPLETELY missing rod bearings on installed connecting rods.

Before I came out here, he was a one man job and still mostly is. Out of many 6Ms that have come through here, I've never heard anyone complain about them. Empera, you're the only one who I've seen had an issue, and I assume it was with a 7M. Again, I believe it was not his fault, but you can go ahead and provide more details so I can fully understand what exactly happened.

That's what I've gathered as well. HPF's were selling a discounted long block a while back that was built by them that was discovered to have a few issues in the building of it, requiring some work to be redone.

Just thought I'd elaborate a little ;).

Oh BTW, you may want to read the rules around here, just because you start a thread doesn't mean you own it and can dictate what's said therin :sarcasm:

Sorry to hijack, just trying to understand.

I'm confused. Did the engine come from RC but was built by HPF, or just straight from RC to HPF?

I have no problems continuing this in PM so as to not "clutter" up this thread anymore.

[qoute] Soooo who's saying that the Eagle rods will only handle up to 700rwhp with a 100-150+/- with conclusive factual data [/qoute]

maybe hear say, but if some one has a bad tune who's gona say they will last much above that. i kow it's stupid but some one's going to try to tune their own stuff, any thing can happen.

I have to clear up a few things. I do not make rods, or any engine components. The race prepped 7mge rods I offer http://www.rabidchimp.com/mk2sup_rcp_rpr7m.htm have been around for a while, and I do believe I marketed them before Eegle finally came out with their 7mgte rod. I like the Eagle rods as well, and ask some of my customers if they'd rather have Eagles for bit more cash. Money aside, I'd go for the Eagles, unless I wanted to throw some money to my machine shop.

Regarding HP Freaks and any 7mgte engines from me...... These were JDM engines. They're used, folks, and aren't going to be spotless. I did not build the engines. I don't think the people who purchased them ever ran them, yet people are saying they were bad engines. http://www.rabidchimp.com/mk2sup_rcp_jdm7mgte.htm
Again, the Eagle rods are good. Have been selling them, for various Toyota engines, since 03, and have never had any complaints.
