AHH I am running out of time but I was reading the how to replace the hatch strut and can not seem to remove the bracket to put the new one on.. Are all of the new kit suppose to come with them? I am talking about the piece in the bottom of the picture on that strut. Do you suppose to remove it from the old one and put it on the new one or does it suppose to come with it already? I dont have any if it is suppose to.

Your suppose to take the old piece off the car with the old strut and bolt the new one into the same position as the old one. It's suppose to come with the strut.

What you said was a little confusing.

So the new one is suppose to come with its own new one right? because the one in the picture up there looks a tad different but was not sure. I just returned mine and told them to order new ones and hope it comes with it. i spented a good hour trying to get the old bracket off the old one and had no luck.

I just purchased one and it did not come with any sort of bracket and I'm very confused. I called autozone and they said all of them are like that.

WTF?!?!?!?!

Tell them punks to defect it and ship in new ones. I went to exchange mine and it came with it. I had to waited a week but it was worth it. Its like they loose these things like nothing.

Got mine at AutoZone and it came with the mounting bracket and worked perfectly fine. You don't keep anything from the old strut.

if you dont wanna go back you can just remove that E clip with a flat head screw driver (be careful tho they will get some distance if they shoot off) pull the pin out and see if the bracket will fit on the new struts.

thats just if you dont feel like dealing with autozone people again.

Well I called autozone and they said every c95880 they have is just the cylinder alone, no bracket. So I'm thinking fuck the local autozone whether it was shipped to them like that or not, and I'm trying Advance auto.

The people at autozone were 10000% positive it came with NOTHING ELSE, just the tube.

Just called advance and the guy knew a bit about supras and even said: "you should turbo that N/A motor and take advantage of its higher compression." He also knew that their brand DID come with the brackets and they'll be in tomorrow morning.

Can't believe I wasted a good hour taking off the old one, trying to take off its bracket and then contemplating how the hell it was going to go back on....

Ugh... /vent

Thanks guys, strongarm, here i come. :)
