Quick question- what's the street-friendliest coilover?

I'm looking for a set of coilovers, but don't want a "track" spring rate.
I'd like good adjustability, but a milder spring, since 99% of the year, this car will be street driven.
Thanks.

I've heard that people liked the Megan EZ coilovers. They don't have pillow ball hats so they don't have that harshness that track coilovers do, plus the spring rates are lower, but still much stiffer than stock springs.

I don't have them, but if I ever switch to coilovers I think those are what I would get.

I have the Tien SS, they are stiffer than the Flex's. At low speed on uneven surfaces it can get annoying. Everything in my interior creaks/ rattles. It gets better at high speeds, but i would not drive hundreds of miles in it.

If you smooth roads you wont have this issue. I just wish they could dampens smaller vibes.

Just because 1 person had a bad experience doesn't mean you should shoot it down...

How smooth are your roads? The SS cant handle uneven surfaces at low speed. I would be better off with a spring/shock combo comfort wise or Euro grade coilovers.

Keep in mind the Teins can be retuned/rebuilt through them for cheap and their replacement springs are cheap. Also keep in mind the SS Teins are actually stiffer than the Flex (at least for our cars).

Euro grade stuff would be bilstein, but they don't make a set for our cars anymore, they only make the dampeners.

Bleh, nevermind.

FWIW, I just noticed BC is using the same spring rates as the Megan EZ street. 14/8 F/R.

The front rear ratio is about the same as stock too. I retract my previous statement, I think I like the BC's better now, despite the pillow ball top hats.

To add another level too this question. I just got my supra and the rear shocks are bad, really bad they are tokico illumina 2's that bottom out and bounce all over in the rear. Oddly my front seem fine. However should I just replace them with new Tokico's or Koni's and eibach springs? or go coilover? I'm not looking to be a purpose built track car just a fun DD.

I hear the Illumina's give a really good ride for a street setup.
The spring issue is seperate from the shock question. If you're on
stock springs, you might want to change to Eibach's, H&R's or something along those lines,
for a firmer ride, better transient(side to side) response, better traction over bumps, not to mention
a better visual stance, if that matters to you. If I had TEMS, I would stick with Illumina's, but I don't, unfortunately.
