OK Guys, Im about to have another car to use soon, here, so I want to MAYBE, MAYBE tear down my 7mGE and rebuild it PROPERLY. I didnt do a few things I sort of regret now.
I was lookin at an Engine Kit from a recent post...

And the question came to my mind that I really would like answered.....
So i get my crank balanced and cleaned, and the piston cyl walls honed..
Then I get this kit... with .20 over rings and standard size main bearings and all.. My question is, when i was rebuilding I noticed ALL the bearings are sized by numbers put with rod and crank or crank + black.... what I dont get is if I get this set, how are these STANDARD sized bearings supposed to work!? Do I resize them somehow? Same question for the piston rings... I dont get it, I really Never understood this...
Thanks guys.
EDIT: Just FYI I did look around but its just something Ive never found answered exactly, I always see send to machine shop or something, Im just simply curious.
