im gonna get a big mandrel bent pipe goin from the throttle body to the IC pipe commin out of the fender. what are the sizes of these two holes so i know what sizes im workin with here. i would go outside and take the stock pipping off to measure it, but its cold out there, and i know you guys are chock full of knowledge:biglaugh:
thanks.

The TB is actually 61mm or 2.4" at the plate ;)

2.5" pipe is fine, but keep in mind the stock IC inlet/outlet is 2"...you'll need a reducer.

jdub..what exactly do you mean by "at the plate"
a 2.5" pipe wouldnt be a problem to join onto the 2.4" TB right? i think the coupler would make up for that .1", no? and then i'd get a coupler like this for the fender inlet/outlet.
whatcha think?

I have measured the OD of the TB inlet and it measures very close to 2.75 inches.

If you get a 2.75 inch pipe and a 2.75 inch ID silicone coupling that would be perfect.

All other hard IC plumbing is 2.0 inches OD Kinda sad HUH?!?!? So you would need a silicone hose that has a 2.0 inch ID

Arz and Slo are correct...the OD for the TB is 2.75"...you will need a 2.75" to 2.5" reducer to fit the piping. TB's are measured at the plate (connects to the linkage) inside...that's where the 61mm came from ;)
My dumb ass completely missed you were trying to replace your IC piping and mate to the TB.

what if i were to make the pipe 2.75", run a normal coupler from the ICpipe to the TB and then have a 2.75" to 2.00" reducer to go into the fender inlet.
this coupler isnt 45°, do you think i can still make it happen? maybe i can have the pipe bent again a little right at the end to fit this on without having it pop off.

you might as well replace the fender piping, it is the most restrictive POS ever.

i know i should, but right now i dont have the funding the go that far. i shouldnt be much really, but i just wanna do this upper IC pipe setup because what i got now is a pipe with a HKS SSQV on it and cutup stock IC elbows duct taped and shit and its been really irritating me to just get this done. im probably loosing some boost somewhere in the ducttapped mess anyways. i can always do the lower IC piping later, all i'd be loosing is that reducing coupler that i would get, and im fine with that.

iunno man, im running 2.5 in all around with my ffim and 2jz tb wo issue. i dont want to turn this into a "what ones more efficient" but if your not replacing the fender pipe just go 2.5 in and be done with it.

yo MKIIINA, i decided to go with your idea. im gonna get a 2.5" pipe mandrel bent and have a 2.5"-2.75" coupler to the TB and a 2.5" to 2.00" coupler to the fender inlet. and then have em throw the flange in there somewhere

so i think i made my final decision for my upper IC pipe. im tryin to find the cheapest easiest way kind of.
(ThrottleBody) 2.75">2.5" coupler (replacement 3000 Pipe) 45° 2.5" coupler (straight 2.5" pipe) 2.5>2.0 coupler (fender)
my question is: can i pull off using a straight reducing coupler to go into the fender IC part? i dont wanna buy a 45° reducing coupler, thats pricey.

What would be the purpose of getting a larger throttle body if the IC pipe is smaller?
