No you can't because tiptronic transmissions are like automatics as an r154 is manual. Like everyone else says if you have the money it's possible I guess. However if it were to be done a tiptronic transmission will be put in place of the r154. Why would you want to do that though?

There is nothing electronic or automatic in that gearbox. It's a proper sequential.

Custom from the ground up, and VERY, VERY expensive.

Xtrac and Hewland cases are the probably the most popular.

Wasn't there a shifter for the getrag that would do the sequential shifting as well. Stillwater or something like that? That's been a while ago though. Thinking out loud again.. I know. :)

Think there's one for the 154 as well but very rare.

Well thanks for the responses guys. Ill keep reading up on this. If I were to go through and do this, would I be the only mkIII owner with one???

A sequential box?

Yeah I don't know of anyone running one as it's going to cost more than most of the mid level cars here ;)

And most being straight cut dog boxes aren't exactly street car friendly if you like to hear yourself think.

A company in Japan by the name Ikeya Formula makes the bolt-on sequential shifters for Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, and several other Japanese transmissions.

They run between $1000-$1800, depending on model.

Here is their site: http://www.ikeya-f.co.jp/

I have never seen one for either the W58 of R154 Toyota boxes,
but that does not mean they don't exist.

HKS makes a sequential 6-speed box, that you can put on anything
(as long as you have a large enough machine shop to build a bellhousing).
The last new one I seen was $30,000........

No room for error like your current cushy manual gives you either. Mess up and that thing will crash into gear so hard your drivetrain will poo itself. :p

Id kill for a Hollinger rd6-s, if they made them quiet of course. Is this what they use in the v8 Supercars? If so they scream like a banshee possessed, ear plugs are a must.lol.
