What your Supra brothers are trying to say is that there are 50-100 things your car needs, wants and desires before it is even close to time for a Q45 tb.

If your current modification level is not what we assume please enlighten us.

Acuufab Mustang 5.0 87-93 TB > Q45.

Both require fab. Only Accufab has numerous sizes

I know a few people making 500+ on a stock TB. Greater gains can be had in many other places before you actually NEED a bigger throttle body.

BBK 70mm on modified NA manifold works well.
The Q45 job looks cool.
But unless you have 80mm piping, an intercooler with 80mm inlet & outlet, and a T88 or larger turbo, it is a waste.
Any one item on the whole system that isn't 80mm, becomes the throttle.
What good is an 80mm throttle if you only have 70mm or smaller piping.
Not much !
There are many high HP 7Ms out there just using the stock throttle.

Thats a litlle inaccurate I don't have a t88 and it runs fine with my GT4067R

just thought id add-

almost all the aftermarket t'bodies will whistle. its air rushing past the throttle shaft. some do it more than others. a stock tb like a q45 is whisper quiet.

Not much !

Wrong. The throttle body should be around (or at least) 1/2" larger in diameter than the smallest piping in your intake tract (and try to keep all of that the same diameter). A TB doesn't flow like a straight through pipe due to the TB plate. 70mm piping with a 80mm is almost optimum, but I'd go with 85mm to be close to the 1/2" larger.

After the exit immediately out of the turbo every ounce of my plumbing is 3 inches in diameter. EXCEPT the thottle body, and Im not ready for a throttle body yet. Its just not that much of a bottle neck.

That might be the case with NA plumbing, but a lot of little things can be overcome by just one more psi.
