Hi supra fan’s.
I want to share with all of you my new project for my MKIII ’91 auto supra.
Because the lack of near by Performance Shop and reliable technicians, I begin my performance shop PTR, I’m only work in week ends so it’s Slowly but surely.
Let’s begin
My supra MKIII Auto 7MGTE
Stock Engine
Stock Turbo
550 RC injectors
Walbro fuel pump
Lex AFM
S AFC II
NOS and Water injection.
Because the supra has the auto trany broken, its long time wight out runing
After moved it to the performance shop (move to the back yard) I did wash it
Some mod so far!
To reduce the time in the 1/8 Track, time to change the rear Dif from 3.9 to 4.3 of course LSD
Time to clean the 4.3 dif
Some diferent :icon_razz
Upgrade torque converter to 2800 rpm’s
My best time at the 1/8 track was 9.00 Sec, with all stcok and avarage tuning and 18" wheel :3d_frown:, so time to change the torque converter, to leave with some boost :biglaugh:
Remove the old exhaust system, because I’ll install a 3.5” exhaust in the future (comming soon!)
I don't like the existing 3" exhaust system, because its poor quality and design, so I'll build a 3.5" exhaust system
Se the ugly curves! of the piping
With out coments :3d_frown:
Also I’ll change the stock CT26 turbo for a Garret 35 R.
Because the limitation of the CT26, its time for a more efficient turbo to run at 20PSI of boost :icon_bigg
Also I will change the stock TB for a Q45 TB :icon_evil
Now the interesting part of the treat :naughty: Installing a 7M FFIM
In the past, I pay to build a FFIM, so its time to do it my self, but of couse will be better :evil2:
The diferent from the old set up:
The new set up , dont need an alternator bracket :naughty: or remove the AC
let begin!
Remove Intercooler piping of 2.5"
Remove the out let piping of the turbo, and the down pipe
Let;s begin the building :icon_bigg
Some parts of the procces:
Remove Upper plenum
Taking some measures
Cuting procces!
Because the Q45 TB falge for me is expensive ( $35 + tax + shipping) I think its better if I builded :naughty: the Q45 TB flange
Upper manifold
After clened!
So far so good!
Lets see the clearance with the alternator
By the way, I’m also working in the rebuild of a Friend 7M engine, so lest try the FFIM in his engine :evil2:
Have good clereance and a good room for the alternator belt ajustment, and the more important, with out aditional bracket :naughty:
Its all until today :evil2:
