So got everything tore down in the block, everything looks good. Found out I have a 6m crank so ima try to have it repaired and use it again, oistons look good time ti order the h-beams

I personally would'nt go with the A1 Look at LIPP traction arms Or Beech Perf. I got mine from BEECH Perf in the venders section. Upgraded and very heavy duty. How did the cage install go? What ever you do, make sure you have your final seats in before you build the cage if you don't have it installed yet. Otherwise you will be limited on seat choice.

Nice work BTW. tuff luck with that tranny glad you still have your foot.

Yea I've been lookin at the beech traction arms and reading his r&d thread they look very solid. We didn't get around to installin the cage b4 the trany blew.

well time for an update, the blocks been machined the new rods are mounted on the pistons, gaskets and new valve springs came in saturday, ive almost got the port job finished on the head. got the fire wall straightend out and the dash is out replacing all the broken heating parts, heres some pics

-stg 4 act xd sprung 6-puckcheck
-comp clutch flyweelcheck
-eagle h-beams check
-titan 2mm mhg check
-je rings and seals (.020 over bore) check
-twing walbro 255's
-beedh duel pump hanger
-coil overs
-comp springs check
-lipp rear traction arms or beech
-racing seats (for some weight reduction at least)
-replacement aem uego widebandcheck
-arp rod and flywheel bolts check
-beech solid motor mountcheck
-have the block and head re-machined check
-3 angle valve job check

so the rings come in saturday, i got started checking the ring gaps and installing them friday so heres some pics the heads assembled too

and heres what we did friday and saturdy, we welded up all the holes in the fire wall and did a mini wire tuck and got most of the bay painted

thanks man but i still have a lot left to learn myself, i used the cometic kit offered through sip racing, had to get a few odds and end gaskets local though. we got the pistons in today, we had to stop early today because i had a job interview, hopefully we will get it all assembled by wednesday and in the car, mabey running by friday?!?!?!?

progress from today got the head on, cams degreed, manifolds on and turbo, cps is in, oil psi line for the new gauge is on

the builds looking good! your very lucky that flywheel explosion didnt hurt you! ive heard ALOT of horror storys about stuff like that..but again good job and the car sounds amazing

thanks man i appreciate it. yea i dont know how i got away with nothing more than a bruised foot considering the biggest hole was directly behind the gas peddle. we got the dash back in yesterday and did away with my ugly green gauge lights and swaped some red ones in heres where we got today. where i am building this motor in my college engines class our instructor made us leave the motor hanging and made us clean up early :: angry ::
