As many of you know I had quite a lot of goodies including the entire regulus kit, a 1jz, volk te37 time attacks.... and a lot more. I had spent almost 30K and didn't even have a running car. No expense was spared when it came to a part I want. I had planned everything I wanted to do the car a lot faster then I could keep up with it. So basically, I spent easily over 2 years pouring money into a car that wouldn't be finished for years, much less drivable. A few mistakes and I've ended up pretty much back where I started, with almost nothing. I'm the kind of person who always has his head in the clouds, but this time around I'm going to try and be a little more down to earth. I think of this as a fresh start, I have another Supra now, and another great chance.

The Goals
-Restore everything wrong with the car. Replace Gaskets, Hoses, ect ect.
-Make it reliable, MHG + ARP's done right, rebuild when I plan for more power.
-The ever so classic LEX AFM/550/57trim CT-26.
-400rwhp+
-Bigger Sperico IC.
-11-12 second Quarters on just an upgraded CT.
-Drag wheels w/ slicks.
-Prosport Guages.
-LED Blue Gauge Cluster + Climate Control.
-Minor Body Mods + Paint. I'm talking a couple Shineauto parts. I'll be in autobody class in Aug or Sept, so painting won't be a problem.
-Replace moldings.
-Stay Pre-89.
-No Stripping. Staying full weight this time.
-And Ultimately beat the piss out of my best friends GT35/40R powered FC ( 13B-RE ) in the quarter. I plan on using the drag section / advice like a bible, as well as practicing when ever I can.

What I have left
- CarbonFiberFX 2" Cowl Fiberglass Hood ( 13lbs~ ). One of less then 5 known.

On Grant's old parted out car:

-Rebuilt Calipers. Painted black with VHT high temp Caliper paint.

-Potorfield Carbon Kevlar Brake Pads + Portorfield Rotors + Goodridge Brake Lines.

-becauseican anti-sway bar adjustable end links.

-becauseican solid rear subframe bushings.

Pictures of the car as it is now:

OK, here is my disclaimer before I post these pictures:

I've been broke for awhile, just got a job... so I've been doing the poor mans mods. I also haven't been able to fix some of the things wrong with the car since I bought it like the SCREWED on door trim ( Sigh ).. and the very poorly painted front and rear bumpers which are chipping. 89+ Trim painted black coming soon, as well as tinted black lights all around. Also, there just recently appeared to small rusting spots on the drivers rear fender, soon to be sanded.

The car pretty much looked like above before, with the newest changes being swapping to 89+ suspension with literally 90k less miles ( Feels far better, coil's aren't rusted, as well as a almost 1" drop ). New brakes / lines. Painted saw blades black w/ some clear coat ( stuff just in my garage ). Anyway, on with the crappy blurry pictures, which I completely blame on the camera.

I also must admit, I always hated saw blades... but in black I am seriously in love.

The KISS method is not used nearly enough. Good plan. Make it strong and reliable, and it will go 200,000 miles like stock Toyotas.

11's on upgraded CT will not be easy with an IRS and heavy car.

Well I just picked up some brand new tires for the saw blades ( mine were awful ), but I still need to mount them.

Power steering hose most have gave out because it leaks right out when I poor PS fluid in. No PS = Suck. More things to do this week.

Anyone know what color code my car is by the pictures? I also need to replace my passenger side fender now....

Need trim really bad....

and I'm ordering a cold air intake friday from the group buy going on.

No stimulus check of course... time to call the IRS. I wanted to get the ETS IC kit too oh well.

My car got paint balled a month ago ( parked in the ghetto :/ ) when it was still cold as heck... and it froze to the car. How can I get this shit off w/ out damaging the paint?

Also someone know this paint code? I guess I'll look around in the Maroon thread.

I have an 87. Or does it go by when it was built? Looks like its only for 86.5.

Thanks for the link I forgot about that page!

*EDIT* NVM looks like the site had it wrong.. it went from 86.5-88... or actually the name is 3H1 for mine, 3H2 for the 86.5.

DOUBLE EDIT: I found it on the firewall in the engine bay.

Paint balls are mostly filled with water and colored detergent so they wash out of clothes. The outer shell is also water based paint. In other words wash with water, unless the paint has completely dried on, then you should be good.

what are your plans for the small things like mirrors (keep them, go 89+, or Euro/JDM mirrors?), fogs (yellow, clear?), and interior (6.5 speaker pods; they came in burgundy)..?
