I need to get under my car and jack up the motor again, then clean out the hole with brake cleaner (non-chlorinated), then try and thread a bolt into it by hand. If that fails, I'll get some Loctite Form-a-Thread and make a new thread in the hole.

Quick update, the Supra will be taken off the road starting tomorrow (the Geo's back up and running tomorrow afternoon), and then I will work on getting the Turbo-A duct installed (molding it into the bumper using Tiger's Hair), relocate the battery, fine tune the suspension, install my flushmount headlights, install my SAFC II, tune my SAFC, finish mounting my turbo timer, and fix my brakes.

Painting the mouldings will achieve your 'much simpler' idea and will look better, IMO. Look at what Adam(4x4Supra) on Socal did with his mouldings. His car looks great.

The car was designed to have the mouldings. It integrates into the taillights and into the front turn signals. Shaving the mouldings makes both of those areas look rather naked and stand out, IMO. I wouldn't call it simpler.

The mouldings don't really make the car look "busy" in the first place anyway.

Your car looks great as is IMO, excluding the obvious unpainted parts.

Thanks Joe. I'll look into painted mouldings. Although if I do shave the mouldings off, I will make sure the rear and front area look propper. I'm thinking that if I do shave the moulding off, I will keep the front side markers (minus the moulding).

Which wrecker in vancouver did you go to, was it the one on mitchell island? Cuz i sure remember taking the outside door trim off of it. I dont know how its still there, unless that car has regenerative powers and is making that wrecker a lot of money.:aigo:

Flushmounts are one of those things where some people love them and some people hate them. I've gotten so many compliments on my 90 for the flushmounts I had (and that setup was nowhere near as nice). But at the same time I've also got a lot of haters on them. When I build my car, I remember 1 very key thing, I'm building my Supra for me and nobody else. I may take advice from others, but at the end of the day I am going to do what I like to my car, whether or not I'm doing what others suggested.

OK, time to get more work done. I went back to the Vancouver FAP junk yard and stole most of the engine harness from the 91 turbo sunroof Supra they had there (the 89 Supra that I took the door and fender from also has a sunroof), the drivers side oh shit handle since mine is fucked, the drivers side fender well (since mine was fucked up in the crash and is cracked around a couple holes), along with the hood bumper holders (the little tab things that the rubber bumpers attach to along the top of the fender that the hood rests on), and a new glove compartment backing (since I destroyed mine). Total cost, $9.16. Only paid for the fender well.

I started unbolting the lower front bumper, but it started raining and I couldn't feel my fingers and it was getting very dark. I'll take over the garage tomorrow so I can finish taking off the front lower front bumper and the bumper support. Once that's done, I'll cut holes for my new Turbo-A duct replica, re-attach the bumper support, and mold in the Turbo-A duct using Tigers Hair. Unfortunately, it's really cold, so the bumper will be off for a while.

My big project tonight is separating all the wires from the harness I got and wrapping them up individually using wire ties to make them easier to find. While the Tigers Hair is curing, I will redo my engine harness so that all the wires are factory colors and proper length (the harness is about 6" too long). I will be shrink wrapping every wire, so I'll be getting about 15' of heat shrink tubing.

Here's the pictures. Thers about 70 bundles of wires, and about 170 connections of wires that have to be soldered together (some wires have multiple wires that branch off). I'll be buying about 20 feet of heat shrink tubing some time this week.
