Thanks. I still have a long ways to go. I'm almost done upgrading my suspension. It's to the point where I can take a hard 90 turn at 40 MPH and the tires will break free before the body will roll. And that says a lot when you consider just how sticky and wide my tires are. My Supra is my weekend car. I have a 94 Geo Metro as a DD (400+ miles a week). This is mainly due to the fact that I deliver a lot of pizza and also drive 100 miles a week just going to and from school.

If I'm lucky, I'll get my arm rest reupholstered for my birthday.

Took the Supra to Portland International Raceway tonight. I made 5 passes before being kicked out for being too loud (91 db). Here's my time slips. I figured out when I should launch, but only bested 13.864 seconds at 103.62 MPH with an RT of .586 (my best RT was .129 on my last pass). I'm going back tomorrow to put down as many passes as possible, and this time I'm bringing my silencer so I can run past 10PM.

Saturday night was worse. I only bested 13.9 at 103 MPH. Time to replace my clutch since it's slipping. Although I may be going, brace yourselves, automatic. I only say this because of consistant times and maintained boost pressures. I'll be talking to a machinist who is intimately familiar with the Supra's in the next couple days about my 2JZ NA-T plans.

Over the weekend I picked up a full set of matching trim and a stock shifter. Now for the bad news... I just blew my turbos. My order has gone out to 935 for a new single setup. Hopefully I'll have the Supra back on the road with 400+ RWHP within a month.

While the Supra was on the tow truck today, I couldn't help but notice that it lowered my rear end perfectly It also provided me to confirm that my wheels will barely clear the fender if they come into the wheel well more (like when going over bumps and drag racing). I'm in love to say the least. Here is a glimpse of what is to come shortly.

Sunday James (and hopefully a few more people) are coming over to work on the Supra. We'll be installing a fresh set of turbo's, new spark plugs (gapped at .028), fresh 10w40 Castrol oil and oil filter, installing BIC solid motor mounts (to go along with the already installed BIC pre-89 motor mount adaptors), swapping out the C's shifter for a stock shifter (with bushing upgrades), installing/replacing body trim pieces, and if there's time, lowering the Supra (doubt we'll have the time for that). Anybody in the area is welcome to come over and lend a hand. I'll feed you (beer too).

Do you plan to swap the turbo's with the motor in the car? Isn't that like the biggest pain in the ass ever? lol

I'll be lifting the motor up as much as I can while still having it attached to the car. And yes, I know how much of a pain in the ass it will be to swap the turbos. With the motor out, it's a 90 minute job + pulling and reinstalling the motor. 8 hours with the motor in the car.

Well, got the turbo's pulled. I broke the top hose and had to cut one of the rear rubber oil hoses to get them out. The front turbo has a bunch of play. I swapped out the motor mounts for BIC solid motor mounts. Both were broken. Coolant went everywhere while disconnecting hoses The oil and filter still need to be put in. I also took a 10 pound sledge hammer to the firewall to create a nice little crater for clearance reasons. I ran out of time since I had to go to work. The replacement turbos are waiting to be put in. A good, deep bath is in order for the entire car, especially the engine bay. I'll probably get a gallon of simple green for the engine bay. Crap is caked on. Here's pics of what's been done so far.

After another 4 hours of fighting and modifying, the front turbo oil line is bolted in. Also got the turbo braces installed. In the process of building oil pressure, we discovered that I have a grounding problem which needs to be solved ASAP since I either have power or I don't (loose wire somewhere). Tomorrow the downpipe, upper charge pipes, and intercooler piping are all going on, as well as rotating the passenger side motor mount around and fixing the grounding issue. Here's some pics.

The Supra is back together, but the battery had to be temporarily be relocated back to the front until I get a kill switch and fix my grounding issue. I am now having a starting issue (see other motors section). I pulled the ECU tonight and inspected it but didn't find anything wrong. Tomorrow I'm going to pick-up a new ignitor and see if that fixes the problem. Lastly, my USDM 2J cams arrived today. Once I get the Supra running good and my Geo fully fixed, I'll install the cams and stock shifter.
