I got the open ddp and cops don't ever go for me. Granted I usually keep it under 2500 rpm, but I still get a little whistle as the turbos spooling. Not loud enough to be a problem IMO

ah i see..does the open DDP sound good though? i just want my car to sound a bit more agressive. i work at an auto shop and all my co workers have only heard supras with 1jz. they dont know much about the 7mgte and they are all asking me why my engine sounds like an air conditioning unit..haha i just laugh..but i was hoping there was a way to just make the engine sound more agressive! so thats why i was inquiring about the exhaust system (catback) and the open DDP..
It sounds BEAST. Normal cruising; you get a whistle when accelerating and when you let off the gas slowly. It sounds great, nearly wet myself test driving after putting it in. When you're actually boosting, you get a LOUD and I mean LOUD PSSSSSHHHHHHHH that will snap your head back lol IMO it's the only way to go downpipewise. If the cops hear you boosting like that you'll def be in trouble though. Co-workers heard mine and they're all 'dude you didn't tell us you got a bov!'

NUR spec drones and is loud without the insert (and with the insert wtf is the point of having a 3" exhaust), and the HKS is a rice cannon that does attract attention form the cops...

ah i see..lol your really stressing raptor racing, do you have any affiliations with them? or do you just have one yourself. yea i was lookin at the raptor and BIC ones but the way they have their options set up on their pricing page for both raptor and BIC it just confuses me. all i want is a full 3" DP + exhaust stainless steel. Not too loud but an agressive note. and most importantly performance :] so if raptor or bic could deliver that id be more than happy to go with them...but i just cant figure out which ones the one i need! help!!

ya mine done sound like a ac unit. maybe your ac pump is going out then. if you've never heard a proper sounding 7m then you wouldnt know. there just as quite as a jz just with a different sound. ie the difference between a honda and a tc.

^ oh yea! i took a look at em im pretty sure thats the exact same one that aaron has...it sounds awesome thats whati want mine tosound like..but from what ive heard e veryone says the tanabe touring sounds alot quieter -_-

Get a chinaman stainless DP then pay DM to do a custom stainless 3" all the way through, you live close enough to him.
Because all the aftermarket exhaust is mild steel or haves restrictions at the bends reduced sizes at those points.
Wrap the exhaust up with a titanium 3" muffler single tip at the end.
Try and find a muffler with optional silencer though to keep unwanted attention off.
