Post your Pre-89 bumper thread

They're US pre-89 fogs with the capsules retrofitted. It doesn't look as if there are any reflectors on the capsules unlike the JDM 89 fogs. Personally, I would just leave yours be... genuine pre-89 euro/JDM fogs are rare and hard to come by. No sense ruining a perfectly good set :icon_bigg

I gotcha what bulbs are you running though they look REALLY bright im running standard sylvania halogen H3.

Yup, took me months to source a pair of JDM pre 89 fogs for my girls car. I have retrofitted capsules into another set of pre 89 fogs but I sold those. Deinitely leave them alone..!!!

I also snagged a set of euro folding mirrors for my 92, as I have a set on my 89 and I love them...!

Im considering folding mirrors for my pre89 they have a nice look to them.

I don't know who offers one in pre-89 style, if at all. I had to get mine custom modified. Shine Auto carries the 89+ style Greddy bumper.

Are your foglights Pre89 JDM/Euro Fogs without the "reflector/blinder" sheilds in them. I have jza70 capsules in mine but still have the reflector in im thinking about removing the blinder if it doesnt cause problems, wonder if it even makes that big of a difference, prolly just keep it in.

Does anybody know for sure if there is a difference in the shape of the lips or bottom of the bumper between the 89- and 89+ ?

Seems like the aftermarket front spoilers don't fit right on the 89-.

There is a diff I had to modify my 89+ lip tofit on my pre 89 bumper

Shine auto project.. they got a nice selection of lips but there prices are kinda steep...the same lip i riped in half cost 180 from some canadian company it cost 260 from Shine auto project..

Remember, people cheap price = cheap part. If you're looking for cheap, then Shine is not the place to buy.

Call Shine for for excellence in quality, fitment, and durability. Shine's replica parts are either equal to quality and fitment, if not better, compared to the original maker. As far as durability, I'm sure those that have bought from Shine could attest that Shine is far better than the original makers.

BTW, Shine has an option of making parts with their new super flexible material.
