Video from last summer. DM 57 trim turbo @ 15-16 psi, FFIM, walbro 255 fuel pump w/ aeromotive AFPR, 660cc injectors, and MAFT Pro running speed density. Had a BIC divorced/rerouted downpipe with a HKS dual evolution exhaust. Skip to 2:10 for a full throttle run:

How about from the inside? Then again, it won't be "exhaust" clips from the interior, unless you have a fart can that is really obnoxious.

The HKS exhaust I had would give me a headache when cruising around 2K RPM. I liked bumpin' the bass, but when combined with that exhaust drone it was pretty unpleasant. I Dynamated the entire interior and that helped alot. Also, I was wanting to keep the sound clean, so wanted to separate from road noise and most external noises (suspension, exhaust, etc). I even took sound-level readings of before & after. Now, I only really try to hear/listen to the open wastegate (with the windows down).

Your older unit probably was rusted through the resonator making the straight through muffler loud. That is an assumption of course. Was it always loud for you? They aren't now.
