Polished Intake Manifold and ported

i have been reading this thread quite a lot and i was just curious as to what the benefits of a ported manifold are. sorry if it sounds like a stupid question, i just honestly dont know.
my engine is pretty much stock, would i need to modify anything else for the ported manifold? thanks

Well its not only a bling factor :naughty:

But larger intake ports bring in mroe air! This manifold would really really benifit with an intake filter and exhaust!

Ok heres some updated pictures mon ami's!
Porting is just about 100% done, i have to buff it out a little more on the polishing side of things, but what do you guys think?

Nope no before and after pictures, but i am gonig to have some with the end of the week. If you look on your Y pipe, theres fairly deep writing and etches on it, not anymore.

I took a LOT out of this, removed some of the real ruff spots and smoothed them out with a 120 grit, then a 240, the 800.

Its like a mirror.

I can only imagine the improvment over stock.
