Pinks! (was?) looking for an MKIII

I'm still in for donating parts. I can send a crap load of stock parts to be sold off for money to work on the car.
We may be in luck i just saw a commercial on speed channel for a new PINKS ALL OUT series where they race for money but i am not 100% sure thats all they race for. I will have to look further into this.
If we just race for cash I would race since as I understand it, you don't lose your car. IF and IF you don't race for the car and JUST the cash again I would :biglaugh:

Surprise arizona is the only place i have ever seen it at they have pinks painted on the track and all that.BTW if we do it i have a shell

That's just one way of looking at it.... who gambles $30,000 with a 50/50 chance to win $5,000? Most of the POS american cars on that show are not worth $5,000.
If I had a super built mk3 or killer mk4 that I dumped over $30k into, damn right I want to race for pinks against someone elses car that's worth the same amount of money. If I could race a modified NSX or Viper, I would go on the show for sure... (once I finish building my supra though)
As I stated why not get cash flowing or a sponsor?! NE1 would race if they didn't have to lose their ride since they have a new one coming out called PINKS ALL OUT! where they race for CASH

Not all of those "POS" cars on that show are worth less than 5k, that 99 TA WS6 with the supercharger, built motor and alcohol injection and all the other goodies that whooped the ricer boy fat dude civic pretty badly, off the bottle was worth a lot of money, still street legal and had interior and supposedly ran low 10's maybe even 9's. Also had a few fox bodys that ran similar times and had heads and carbs worth more than a stock 7M. Americans were streeet modding way before japanese companies even sold in the U.S. I love my imports and think they are superior in terms of quality, but most of them stock for stock str8 line won't hold against vettes, vipers, Camaro SS's, Cobra's etc. Only ones that do are 30k plus cars like the supra, rx7, nsx, and EVO.
Just appreciate cars for what they are, dissing american cars for being V8 american cars is like making fun of black people for being black. Theres a real nice automatic tranny buick they made you may have heard of that ran low 13's stock on a 3.8V6 Turbo engine and was as easily modified to be fast as a mk4, the good ol' GN and GNX 86 and 87.

i have nothing really against american cars... i would love to own some of the older 60's and 70's corvettes myself one day... but it seems like 1/2 the cars on their are 80's mustangs i dunno... just not something i'd like to "win"
plus the terms where you have to negotiate each race is BS i think.... i would make it a rule or something if i have to give up car lengths or disable something in my car there is no way i'm going to give up my pinkslip, that's just gay. i know they do that to make the races closer and more entertaining but still.

Fact of the matter is most of the cars on the show are junk INCLUDING the imports.

Problem is everyone has a mindet that these are DRAG races. They are old school STREET races... Heck even my dad did this when he was younger. It is normal for the retro scene they are trying to accomplish. although i have never ever heard of people downgrading an engine to make it even... thats just plain stupid..born2drv said:

I still think the car shoud be pink. Wn the other hand anyone near Arizona really needs to try to get to that, becasue it's free to race, I note free. Well, as long as your cars fast enough. Remeber to have all four wheels, as seeing it is a requirement.
