Pinks! (was?) looking for an MKIII

I don't know if they are still looking, but I'd think none of us would like to risk losing one x_x Especially a fully built one.

We can all pitch in a build one :biglaugh: w/ a fake nitrous bottle (ie civic vs rx7 on pinks haha)

I posted that, I email that rich christenson or whatever his name is and he told me to have them contact pinks, meaning they weren't gonna put in the effort to find a supra. I highly doubt any of the big players of the mk4 world would play, most are not willing to have a chance of losing thier car, and an engine failure or a drivetrain problem would be very possible since its a 3 outta 5 drag race.

I emailed him because I am sick of 5.0 stangs, camaros, old ass hot rods, and shitbox civics claiming 600 whp but they can't hang with a modded TA. They had two civic episodes against decent cars, one a TA and the other a FC3S RX-7. They also had one vs a VW beatle which was uber lame. If I had the resources I'd love to build an mk3 or mk4 to go on the show but since I am not rich and don't own a speed shop I will have to hope someone with some balls gets on the show, they did a casting call in stl recently and I noticed pinky and all the other "fast supras" in town declined to even audtion. I just find it funny that I always here mk4 owners and built mk3 owners talk shit and then they won't put thier money where thier mouth is so to speak.

Yea, I don't know anyone who would wanna lose thier car, but if its going unfairly they have in past let people back out and retain thier ride. I just think that show is dissing imports a bit by having a import vs domestic with a POS civic with a poor driver against a better driver with a built TA with a procharger, alcohol injection, and nitrous. The civic is not a import sports car, its a sport compact. A real import would be a Supra, RX-7, NSX, VR-4, 300ZX, or something comparable, not a ricer with a chip on his shoulder.

timeframe, I'll help design what they need to go on the show .

i dont remember u suggesting that? anyay i htink MK3 stripped to bare essentials would make more sense, seeing is how everyone (includign me) has a goddamn parts car.

I'd love to see a group effort to get on there, I really think the mk4 people are afraid to go on, seeing as I was told that nobody was interessted on I-Supra, back when I still went on there. And an mk3 5 speed built is faster for 1/4 mile than a 6 speed mk4 with same power level, why well the damn 5 speed is better geared for it it seems, tony orta's car is a prime example, has a lot less powere than woons mk4 but ran extremly close to beating him in a few vids I've seen of his car run. Rip out the door panels, lexan the windows, remove carpet, seats, stereo, all that crap, ac ps, and all the other non drag junk like they said, it would be cool.

amen to that, ive always thought of doing that to my mkiii but i just hate the fast that there is a chance of a loss. and im not up for that...anyways what engine you guys plan on using? 1jz or 7m because ive seen a video with equally modded motors, and the 1jz came on top over the 2jz.

I don't even race bicycles for pinks. It's just stupid. I do however have a
hardtop MKII parts car, that I could GUT and get the weight down under, say
2500lbs . But I don't have the time to biuld the car.

ok check this out, this is worth a try, but i found an NA for 450 USD, the catch...it doesnt run. but im going to try and take it off thier hands for, believe it or not...110 or more, but im going to try. give me advice as to how i can get it for less than they are offering. and ill be willing to put this up for the pinks race. honestly guys i know we can do this. im sure you guys have enough spare parts lying around that we can make one to put the mkiii's back on top and get the damn respect we deserve from these damn ricer heads.
