Just wanted to post some pics of my new billet cams. Going to install a set in a head for my car later in December with some 28mm solid buckets.

They are a staggered set. intake is 11.15mm lift 290 duration 246 duration at 1mm lift. the exhaust is 10.25mm 268 duration, 224 duration at 1mm of lift.

They are based on the proven cam profile in the Malta Dragster, but a tamer "street/strip version" if you will.

Heavy - The black is from heat treatment. It does not come off unless you grind it. That is the color of the metal.

He has them listed on his site. I believe it was slightly over $1000

Which is a pretty good price for billet cams. At least from what I've seen

Very nice. Do these require shim under buckets?

Lets say that these require a bucket upgrade. Shimless and shim under bucket both have a solid top. The usable area on both is 28mm ( that is if you are still using the stock lifter bore diameter type bucket). The size of the lobe on these cams needs a minimum of a 28mm bucket. So, whether you use a shimless bucket like from the Echo motor, or you use a solid "all 24 parts same thickness" type, and then use an adjusting shim under the bucket, it will work just fine.

Looks good i'm also wondering about price too but i'm glad your local :)

They are around 1000.00, which as Duane said, is excedingly inexpensive for a billet cam. The reason they don't cost 1500.00+ is that I went ahead and made 8 sets to bring the cost down due to volume.

Duane,

where or how do you go shimless??

The shimless buckets are from the Toyota 1SZ-FE, and come in a large selection of thickness's.
The cheapest I found them is about $15 ea. from Champion.
But having to buy (or even locate) a different thickness bucket can be a pain.

The other option is the TODA inner shim kit.
(EDIT) HKS & TRD also made them. HKS took the same shim as the Toda,
TRDs came in both 10mm, and 12mm shim diameters, and titanium.
But they are very hard to find these days.

Retails for about $1200 from TODA-USA.
Includes retainers, buckets, springs, spring seats, and one set of shims.
Shims are available at any Jap bike shop,
or as I did, buy a HotCams shim selection (or 3).
I find them with only a few shims missing on eBay for $25.
You need the 9.5mm diameter ones.
HotCams P/N: HCSHIM02
They also sell bags of 5 in any thickness to top off your supply.

There is also a TODA set on eBay right now.

But the TODA intake springs are not stiff enough for high boost.
I am going to the CompCams 975-12 on the intake to handle 25-30 psi.
