I see, It's beautiful. Is there no room to mount the sender directly on the block?
Or just run braided to a remote mount?

Thanks :) There really is no room to do it any other way with all of the other stuff I have running there. I had to move it to the front galley hole which is normally blocked off. I guess I could have remote mounted it, but I chose that instead.

jetjock, the fitting is kind of a heinz 57 fitting. Theres a male-femal bsp-npt STEEL fitting going into the block. from there is a brass male-male fitting going into the 45 degree brass block. The oil sending unit is screwed into the 45 brass block. So are you saying that the only stress point is on the fitting going into the block? If so I should be ok as that one is steel.

edit: now that I think about it, there may be only two fittings, the steel male-femal bsp-npt fitting, and the 45 degree brass block (it may be female-male), so no male-male brass fitting in between. Hard to remember, as this was a couple years back that I did this.

Well, the longer the arm the greater the moment. Think of a fulcrum. Sounds like it'll be fine. Heck, it's lasted this long but since I can tell you follow what I'm getting at it might be helpful in the future.

Oh, and that engine is a nice piece of work. The color on the car makes my diapers damp too ;)
