Oil Pump Priming after already Installed?

I did a fresh engine build and forgot to prime the oil pump.
The 7mgte is already back in the car.
Is there a way I can prime the pump now that it is back in that car?
I also have the Oil softline in the pan instead of the crush bent tubing as well.
Has to be a way to squirt some oil down through the pump.......

Remove efi fuse and crank.

The car has been running with 0 oil pressure a couple times now. No matter how many times I crank it over, or how long it runs (max 1 minute), oil pressure is not created. I installed this pump bone dry.
Completly forgot to prime.

You can pull the timing cover and remove the timing belt, then use a drill to spin the oil pump pulley by its bolt. It should feel relatively 'free' when you start spinning, but after a couple seconds it should start to get harder to spin as oil pressure is developed.

If it doesn't feel harder after a while, pull the oil filter and see if it spits out oil.

Those are the first steps I'd take.

Chances are you've destroyed the bearings by now....

Yeah, could be destroyed by now. But I wont know until its actually running.
Ill try the timing cover thing. Have to pull off Harmonic balancer too right; cuz the pump drive is in the top right of the bottom cover?

- measure pressure according to the manual:

- check connection between the sensor and the combination meter?

Harmonic balancer has to be removed to get the lower timing cover off. You will also need to pull your timing belt as it happens to be what drives the oil pump.

I would do what Rollus posted first. I have had a pressure sensor go bad before.

If priming really is the issue here, and that is not clear at all, then remove the oil filter and pump some oil into the fitting. The filter is next in line after the pump.

I run a manual Oil pressure gauge. Removed my electronic one last year when my oil pump gave out.
Thanks for the info tho! SO i can move to the priming stages now I think...
