what i ended up doing was atatching the shaft to a drill press and turning it on then going over the journals with 800 grit for a little while....it fits!!

Called it!

I'm guessing the spec is around .0015" to .0028" for the bearing oil clearance on the oil pump driveshaft....don't quote me.

i was compensating for outdated 20 year old oil tolerances...lol

and i was in fact "in spec" according to trsm....i was within the tolerance they give.....i was within .0005" on the tight side and .0002" on the loose side.....and a maximum clearance of .0031" id say that what i told him was correct info...no need to correct my badassness....lol

In any case, problem solved, proper advice(take it back out and mic' it) has been given.
