The only problem i see with the set up is corrosion over time metal to metal contact usually results in such a thing faster then just metal alone, and espcially since they are soft metals. But i mean i have mine right in front of the condensor so it goes rad, ac cond, oil cooler, intercooler and have had no problems with air flow and still get really good cooling. Good luck with this and LOL to the redneck hot tub.

As IJ stated, i have 1/4 rubber grommets between the cooler and the radiator and the washers. no metal to metal. :naughty:

I was thinking of mounting mine above my A duct. I would have to cut into it a bit more and mount the cooler a little back from the actual opening and make a Turbo A duct like sleeve so it would look clean and not ricer with just a oil cooler sitting flush? I have a beat up nose from a front clip I should mock some thing up.

Good to see I am not the only tard that welds support brackets directly to my chassis.

I also love the idea of mounting a fan with the cooler to Help with air flow. And on The B&M site they are selling kits for almost $220+!!!! But I saw something interesting the other day on The JBLMK3 Site that would provide a partial Fix to Help with that Price.

http://www.jblmk3.com/cars/icfan.php
Although the other Kit is Direct bolt on to a B&M cooler This should help with flow a little bit. Just thought I'd try and Contribute in some way :biglaugh:

I use Mazda RX7 Radiator mounts, they're m6x1 studs on each end with rubber bonded between.

I knew those looked familiar... I've got a ton of those for this particular reason!

Good one IJ. I just mounted mine between the radiator and the condenser. Mounted to the condenser. I have no A/C so I guess heat isn't a factor.

This is where i got my fan mounted unit. http://www.derale.com/

They are on page 19 of the catalog. I didnt buy it direct from them I think I bought it through another retailer for about $100.00. Its a solid built unit with a nice fan set up.

doesn't the oil hose result in the grounding of the cooler though? Or are you using push-lok hose?

Push-lock for sure :)

My car has the 2 Thermofans>IC>Oil Cooler>AC Condensor>2 Trans Coolers>PWR Rad> 2 Thermofans on a Falcon shroud.

I ran the same combination on the 7M with an engine fan instead of the last 2 Thermo's and it ran fine even in Summer traffic.

I did however run a DC Electric water pump to cover the holes in the Toyot pumps delivery (Low flow at idle and cavitation above 7000 rpm)

Sweet! Thanks for the link. I think I had that saved loooong ago on my old computer. I would like some of those Wide Washers though. The dual-spray ones are weak.
