i had to have 50 posts to post in that subforum, and i'm at 52(3) right now, so my thread's up already. we just butted heads because i tried to help him do his job and he apparently didn't it. but that's old news now.

Well, ive been looking into some turbo d series builds, and Idont think that cams and head work will be unesseary for 250hp. Seems like a lot of guys are running up to 300hp on the stock head with just a cam gear

turbo D's are strong motors for being sohc. If i was you and had a friend with a Dsm, bug him for his 450cc injectors and big 16g along with the manifold. I think they bolt up, but don't quote me on it. its been forever since I looked up honda parts, so bear with me.

but I wouldn't see why a 16g wouldn't bring you to 250+

my friend's single cam made 301 on a completely stock head and a 60-1. went a best of 12.24 (can't remember the mph :/). but now he has a built head (not sure if ported) and a slightly bigger turbo and it made 370 and went 11.3x on the first "high" boost pass... people severely underestimate single cams.

The weak link with the d series seems to be rods, so i tink im gonna go with eagle rods.
Im picking up a t3/t4 that needs rebuilt for nexr to nothing tomorrow. i was gonna try and see if anyone on here has a set of 440cc injectors for sale for a decent proce. As far as a manifold and downpipe are concerned, ill by soemthing used, intercooler and piping will proabaly just be form ebay, inless I can find the greddy kit for a good price. I think im gonna use chrome for tuning.

yeha, they are a great motor for the price. if i ever blow the d16a6, ill probably get the jdm d15b 3 stage vtec (it has 2 different vtec stages after the non vtec stage) because ive heard that they can handle up to 300hp on the stock motor, where as most other d sereis motors throw a rod after 200-225 hp depending on which block you have

Sounds like a plan man, from what little i read about the big 16g. I'd suit what you wanted to do, have the torque to back it up and you'll have a nice powerband and be able to reach your goal and maybe have some extra money to play:naughty:
