There are like 6-7 MKIII owners around my area somewhere.

Once the weather gets into the consistent...high 60's? Low 70's? All of us can meet up at this K-Mart show. It's always full of super built muscle cars, so some slick Supra muscle would be a very nice touch. Imaging 15+ Supras rolling into a lot full of Camaros and Firebirds.

There is also a very popular outdoor mall place right across the street with tons of places to eat, plus a Waffle House sharing the same parking lot as the show/meet. They do this every Friday, and during the summer it gets a huge turnout.

true that, i already want another lol. But I'm gonna wait till I have my own place to get another one.

I haven't even traded mine yet and I'm in this same boat... Hopefully I can make 2011 a wonderful year with a nice short build thread for an SC... Or maybe another Supra lol ... we'll have to see I guess.

My mom told me that she's not putting anymore cars on her insurance for me, so thats why i am gonna have to wait a couple years to get another SUpra. Well that and the fact that i dont have a garae to work on one in, but when i get my own place, evens if its only a one car garage, a Supra will eventually rest there, hopefuly a turbo one at that. :D

LOL that sucks man, but what can ya do.
I'm in the same boat as you, but I think what I'll do is build a motor and get everything ready for a swap then come up with the platform. That way, I can keep the motor warm and toasty with me, in the house ;)

I got some ideas on what I'm really wanting to do but I'm not gonna start into what I'd like to do and all that good stuff because I often day dream of a built Supra... its sad :(

I almost went that route instead, but honda parts are soo damn cheap. I should be able to turbo my Civic SI for around 2500, be making about 250hp, and be in the high 12's, like 12.8 or so. Im pretty sure it would cost a lot more to build a 12 second Supra. A 12second Supra would be more fun tho, i mean a Civic wont reall go sideways lol.

Depends, I don't remember who it was but they broke 11.8 *i believe* on stock mk3 auto with a crusted bov and a 75 shot of nitrous. I wanna say it was Rich from SIP Racing but don't quote me on it. As far as a 12 sec supra, I'd think $2500 would get a 7m into 12s, mbc (or ebc your choose), 550s & V8 afm with a adj. fpr & piggy back would get you over fuel cut (12psi). The only thing left from there is upgrading the turbo. Assuming you have a full 3" exhaust, stronger clutch and FMIC, you'd be at 350-400 depending on what turbo setup you'd choose. After you move fuel cut and upgrade the turbo, you ready for as much hp as you wanna throw into & the money to follow.

As far as turbo'ing a Honda, depending on the motor and turbo you wanna use. I wouldn't see why you couldn't turbo one and have it running decent for around $1500, I could be wrong tho, its been a long time since I looked into it. I had plans for my 4wSi prelude but didn't have the know how to begin turboing it.

Just my 2 cents
Happy Holidays

Im sticking with the d series for now, and am figuring on spending around 2500 on it for a nice cam, port n polish, rods, pistons, and boost. It needs body work too, but i can get patch panels for cheap, and Ill probably primer it myself and the take it to maaco for a cheap paint job. If my supra had been a turbo to start with, i probably coulda made it into the 12's for 2500, but it was N/a.

Then it sounds like you willl have $2500 placed really nicely. That would have got you close with a na-t, but you'd be missing bits and pieces, but good luck with the civic.
