SAWEEEET!!!!!! I feel like doing a little automagic swap to my car as well.

Jay's 1.5JZ 5 speed MK3 ......... 11 second car.

Jay's 1.5JZ slushbox 3spd MK3 ......... 9's or bust! :evil2:

As for doing a BBQ.... I haven't found anyone yet with full commitment to bring a truck with a BIG grill loaded up to cook during the dyno - So as of now, we'll just be having snacks/drinks available at the Dyno and a small dinner afterwards. :)

^ This is your digitally received call. :)
If you can find a big grill - suitable for cooking 10+ burgers at a time or something, that'd be awesome!! :)

Let me know if you find a grill or not Indy... I have one that may work. Coleman gas-started coal burning. Can we take a charcoal grill to the event? (Gas starting feature is nice for a "no-starter fluid flavor" burger!:biglaugh:)

Houston, we have a problem:

I went to the dyno this weekend. I make 616 rwhp @ 22psi.....I make 635 rwhp @ 24psi.....I make 640rwhp @ 26psi......I make 640rwhp @ 28.5 psi and now my car is smoking. I've undoubtedly reached the limits of something on my car because it straightlines from about 5200 to 7200 @ 640rwhp. It's dead nuts straight across just like the boost graph. I've heard it can't be my 1jz head because some people have made 900 rwhp on a stock head. Mine has the crower 272 small core cams with upgraded springs and retainers. It could be my turbo maxxing out since it's two years old, but I don't know. It could also be a boost leak somewhere, but it was very very consistent if it's is a leak. Now my car is smoking while idling and cruising around. It doesn't smoke under boost.....not that I can see anyways. I can also take the oil cap off and smoke will come out of it. I was told this is a cause from bad rings. Maybe my rings didn't like the 28 pounds of boost.

Any suggestions or reasons why my car isn't making any more power than it is. I will say that it my next to last pass it made 633rwhp and 636 rwtq, but on my last run of 640 rwhp, it only made 609 rwtq.

Burning some oil at start-up since a week or so ago! Looks like I may have an issue all of a sudden, and with trip to Japan departing mid-week... I won't have time to address it between now and the event to make it I'm afraid! DOH!!! I'm one of the DYNO FOR SURE votes. Please make note and accept my apology in advance. My status is suddenly very iffy.

On another note... the car has/had been running GREAT up to this point and still runs great! Just don't want to do any (more?) damage without digging down and righting the issue, whatever it is. I'm going to guess that the turbo MAY have been "overspooling" pretty constantly with the wastegate NOT QUITE SHUTTING COMPLETELY for an uncertain amount of time until I caught it, and adjusted the actuator rod to be "snug" again. Maybe a premature turbo seal leaking as a result?
