FUCK OBX! :3d_frown: I was planning to use one of their aeromotive replica AFPR's #10908 which I figured how can they mess that up, a spring, bolt, and a diaphram! Wrong they did. The diaphram leaked like the Exon Valdez and was pumping 40psi fuel back through the vac line into the #5 and 6 cylinders. Mind you this is on the start up of a $3000 build!

Car only can for less then one minute over a few attempts before I realized that this was my problem. But long story short they say I have to ship them the diaphram then they will send it overseas to the factory then they will inspect it, send a new one back to OBX who will then send it to me!
-He said minimum 2 weeks!
-I said why can't you just send me a diaphram from one of your AFPR's in stock and then when you get the replacement put it back in(easy enough right) and I even offered to pay overnight shipping!
-He said no thats not how we do things.
-I said so you are willing to lose a customer, get a bad review, and lose future customers over a $10 part.
-He said sorry you are entitled to your opinion.

Unfortunatly I am to calm headed and said well that is pretty poor customer service rather then tearing him a new one. UNREAL!

Needless to say ordered an Aeromotive today 2nd Day Air from Summit so will have it running this weekend!

Praying it did not hurt the motor tho!

Pic of the diaphram which I sent them to show the deterioration an tears:

Is that part worth all the trouble they are making it? I will never buy a product from them again and hope people read this and see how shitty the company really is when they treat their customers like this. What ever happened to the customer is always right? Or doing what it takes to keep its customer happy? Also I originally ordered the piece from Tuning Depot who was very little help at all and also said they will not refund any money brand new or not!

Sorry for the rant just want people to know what they are dealing with. And if you are going to say you get what you pay for please keep it to yourself. I figured a company this big would have decent products and as well it was only $10 cheaper then the Aeromotive the deciding factor was it matched my engine bay scheme not cost!

Heres a picture of the AFPR:

Thanks for looking hopefully this will save someone down the road!

O and just for the record the quality of everything else on the piece is very good just the diaphram is shit and like I said it was not a cost thing, $130 for this $140 for Aeromotive. But it will be taken care of as soon as the Aeromotive stuff arrives hopefully tomorrow!

That's what to expect from people who
sell biscuits made out of ground up cardboard,
put plastic resin in pet food,
lead paint on toys,
Kill over 600 coal miners a year in their own country,
Etc., etc..

I made a post about a month ago about trusting those POS regulators.

But there is always somebody how says "mine worked fine".
So the trend continues.........
And this ass that sold you the thing would not even just send a complete one out to you.

Those regulators cost the scam-artists who sell them less than $10 !
I have seen the quotes, I have the links to their web-sites in china.
Fake FPRs, WGs, turbos, clutches, BOVs, etc..
Not to mention the 'stainless' rip-off copies of the GReddy 7M manifold, also know as a 'eBay maifold'.
Give me a break !
eBay has nothing to do with it.

It is not eBay's fault, and it's not fair to say all eBay stuff is crap.
There are a lot of good sellers there, selling quality parts, like suprarich,
and RHD-Japan, and that cressida guy, mx83-something.

But more & more of them are throwing in the towel because everyone is buying the cheap crap.
Sellers like southern_time_piece, and jdmturbochargerspecialist who are long gone.

Supramania put a ban on Venom injectors, they (we) should take a stand on this crap too!

By the way, I use a SARD regulator.

Worst part is I think I read this! I sometimes suprise myself with my ignorance! and I do appreciate your review. Like I said honestly the piece is pretty nice, good anodizing, and fittings but still shit! More then anything their response to me is what envoked this! I will put one in for the vote, ban OBX products from the forum!

the guy didn't buy a part for half price, he bought it for $10 less than an aeromotive one, so i don't know why you're saying "you get what you pay for". certain companies sell the same part for slightly less or more, so how was this any different?

further, he even said, don't respond if you're gonna say that, yet you all still do that.

obx is obviously way less quality than i thought, so i just won't buy anything from them. thanks for the heads up.

good luck

I vote just paint the aeromotive so it matches if that is what matters. I've seen some of the work you do so a little paint shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for the heads up on OBX to BTW. Customer service is a big make or break thing for me personally and hate dealing with bullshit companies that are obviously in it just to make a quick buck on a shitty product.
