FUCK OBX! :3d_frown: I was planning to use one of their aeromotive replica AFPR's #10908 which I figured how can they mess that up, a spring, bolt, and a diaphram! Wrong they did. The diaphram leaked like the Exon Valdez and was pumping 40psi fuel back through the vac line into the #5 and 6 cylinders. Mind you this is on the start up of a $3000 build!
Car only can for less then one minute over a few attempts before I realized that this was my problem. But long story short they say I have to ship them the diaphram then they will send it overseas to the factory then they will inspect it, send a new one back to OBX who will then send it to me!
-He said minimum 2 weeks!
-I said why can't you just send me a diaphram from one of your AFPR's in stock and then when you get the replacement put it back in(easy enough right) and I even offered to pay overnight shipping!
-He said no thats not how we do things.
-I said so you are willing to lose a customer, get a bad review, and lose future customers over a $10 part.
-He said sorry you are entitled to your opinion.
Unfortunatly I am to calm headed and said well that is pretty poor customer service rather then tearing him a new one. UNREAL!
Needless to say ordered an Aeromotive today 2nd Day Air from Summit so will have it running this weekend!
Praying it did not hurt the motor tho!
Pic of the diaphram which I sent them to show the deterioration an tears:
Is that part worth all the trouble they are making it? I will never buy a product from them again and hope people read this and see how shitty the company really is when they treat their customers like this. What ever happened to the customer is always right? Or doing what it takes to keep its customer happy? Also I originally ordered the piece from Tuning Depot who was very little help at all and also said they will not refund any money brand new or not!
Sorry for the rant just want people to know what they are dealing with. And if you are going to say you get what you pay for please keep it to yourself. I figured a company this big would have decent products and as well it was only $10 cheaper then the Aeromotive the deciding factor was it matched my engine bay scheme not cost!
Heres a picture of the AFPR:
Thanks for looking hopefully this will save someone down the road!
