Are they the same? I will look when I get it but the OBX is a square flange and the Aeromotive is a rectangle. But I will see as soon as I get it!

Thanks,
Seth

yea.. i think you can only replace the XS Power FPR's with the aeromotive diaphram. The OBX FPR doesn't even look close to the aeromotive, the XS Power FPR is basically a copy.

You'll get it sorted out Seth, at least you didn't hydrolock the motor :sarcasm:

Or you could've just replaced it with an aeromotive diaphram for $18...........

Yeah, and maybe* have something that works,
that everyone else thinks is a POS........

*that is, if nothing else fails, like the spring,
that if it were to break, would puncture the diaphram.........

^sorry, but a failed spring is highly unlikely

Yea and with the simplicity of the diaphram so is it! Simple re-inforcered piece of rubber. Think the system is rated to 70psi and didn't last at 40! Needless to say I will be getting the replacement part and getting rid of it!

IJ: Yea I know just bogels my mind sometimes though!....lmao Thanks for the words of wisdom!

Diaphram production/design is not that simple, it just looks simple

And as I mentioned it is not the same shape as the 13109 which is rectangular. I will take side by side pics of it when it comes:

I did not see that sytle which is the 13105 which does look every similar. I will probably just order one of those diaphrams to see if it works. But I should have ordered that one but I guess next time. Thanks for the heads up.

Replica; Knockoff; Copy; all underscores an important fact; lack of engineering and true development. What the unfortunate consumer receives is a part or product that lacks intrinsic synergy, lacks compatibility, and reliability, and a duplication of imperfections. One or more of these issue is always prevalent in the knockoff, unfortunately. The consumer must always realize this, and what's invariably always true, "You get what you pay for".

Not to mention the 'stainless' rip-off copies of the GReddy 7M manifold, also know as a 'eBay maifold'.
Give me a break !
eBay has nothing to do with it.

It is not eBay's fault, and it's not fair to say all eBay stuff is crap.
There are a lot of good sellers there, selling quality parts, like suprarich,
and RHD-Japan, and that cressida guy, mx83-something.

But more & more of them are throwing in the towel because everyone is buying the cheap crap.
Sellers like southern_time_piece, and jdmturbochargerspecialist who are long gone.

Supramania put a ban on Venom injectors, they (we) should take a stand on this crap too!

By the way, I use a SARD regulator.

Agree, and this should be applied to everything "knockoff". Fundamentally, replication is bad for all in general, regardless, but especially the originator, and anything that's a replica of something that's still in production by the original developer should be banned from this forum. This includes, body kits, specialty parts. etc.. Just MHO </Now off my soapbox>

tisk tisk, you never specified which one.

Keep in mind, Aeromotive just recently released the diaphrams for sale to the public so many places will not have them listed on their site. How do I know? I was one of the first consumers to buy one.....they weren't even boxed to be shipped yet when i bought mine a few weeks ago :icon_bigg

You can buy them through jegs, just call in and ask.

I have a knock of BOV...

It's no longer made by HKS, and it was FAR cheaper and works perfect. Doesn't look quite as good, but it's a very simple device and won't blow my car up or burn it to the ground.

Personally, I'd never go cheap on fuel or internals...

Fuel system spend the $$$ as there is no second chance (Seth got lucky this time to not BBQ his car)

I spent the bux on my fuel system and it was still the cause of my supra's downfall :icon_bigg

though that was a unique case
