the noise doesnt change when i change gears it is wheel speed related im still wondering about the mid bearing or differential now... does a mid propeller shaft bearing do this?

also keep in mind that it only makes noise when when accelerating let off the gas and the noise quiets down quite a bit... is it easy to change diff oil?

Yup, thats how ya do it. Both spin the same way = LSD opposite= open.

I think that theres a sticker that says "use LSD oil only" by the fill plug. I think.

If U haven't changed the fluid in awhile, it's worth being done anyways. Yes, easy... Undo the FILL plug 1st... then the drain plug. Make sure to add the LSD additive or search to find which brand/type has worked for others (w/o additional "Ford" additive from Toyota). You will need a long funnel-hose, or pump.

Change fluid, see if any improvement, continue to troubleshoot if not.

i changed the fluid with 80w90 and the positrac LSD additive... no change... i looked all over for similar noises and it sounds just like what a bad pinion bearing sounds like.... is it easy to fix. should i just buy a new diff? does that conclusion make sence?.. shibbity boppity boop? im also thinking my clutch pack might be worn to hell too.... a good used LSD for our cars are not that expensive...
