Nitrous... Which kits do you recommend?

I have been thinking off and on the past couple weeks about using nitrous on my Supra. I have a fully built motor so I am not really worried about the rigidy of my motor. I know it can handle it.

I dont want to shoot more than a 100 shot. I was just wondering exactly what kits you guys recommend?

I was especialy looking at Nitrous Express' N02 kits and I really like them, I just dont know which one exactly I need to purchase. The direct port systems are really expensive and was thinking more along the lines of the EFI "Import" kits. Is this what I need to look at?

if you buy a Kit.

Get a Nitrous pressure gauge.

Bottle heater.

Purge kit,

and dont be a fool and Use a push button for the nitrous(thats how you blow shit)

get a WoT switch, they have Actual RPM activiators for when your WoT, theyre made by MSD when to turn on, and cut the nitrous off.

here's a good Mounting point.

Well the Nitrous Express kits come with the WOT switch. I would definately get a pressure gauge also. I just didnt know if the EFI "Import" kit is the right kit to look at.

I was actually thinking of keeping it stealth and mounting the bottole in the spare tire well. Then have the wood board and carpet over it :D

I don't have a pic of how mine are mounted but the kit that would be best suited would depend on how much nitrous you plan to use. If you want anything over 150 then the direct port is the more safe and proper way to go. According to NOS tec, the 150 is the max you want on a single fogger. Once you install this, I would also suggest a hob switch. This can be set at a PSI for fuel pressure. If the Nitrous doesn't have enough fuel pressure, it will shut off and save your engine ;)

As long as you run a wet system you are good to go. the WOT switch is a good idea but if you have a stand alone, that will control the nitrous coming off and on and what other parameters you would like to adjust.

It will not cover it. I have mine mounted in the back but will have to get a pic to show you. I am not at home right now thogh. Will be there in a few hours if you want a pic.

I would love to see a pic.

I saw a car with 2 smaller bottles hooked up. (not a supra) I dont know how it all works but I guessed that it was done to keep them a little more hidden. Is it true that nitrus really cuts the life of the engine down? or is it really based on a good build to begin with?

NX kits are the best by far! The import efi stage 1 nozzle kit is the one you want if you want to stay under a 150 hp. You can get an electronic TPS activation or just use the wot switch that it comes with. For safty, nx sells an integrated fuel pressure safty switch that shuts the system down if your fuel pressure drops too low. the GENX-2 upgrade kit has every other item you could want to add on.

Which is why I said what I said ;) It is called a hob switch. NX is a decent brand but NOS is just as good and they have been around longer.

ZEXs kit has the pressure switch built in .. If you are planning on installing the kit yourself and dont have alot of background in automotive..this is the kit for you .. Zex produces an excellent product. One more thing that the ZEX kit has that the others dont is that it is configured to trigger of the tps voltage ..E.I. no microswitch.. However the other systems can be configured to trigger off tps votlage but requires you to purchase another part as well do some additional wiring .

Depends on which nx kit you purchase. Some kits come with the electronic tps and a full wire harness to make installation a snap. I have always found that nx selenoids to last much longer and their shark and or pirranah nozzles to be far better in fuel atomization than NOS nozzles

As far as I know nobody makes a simple plug and play harness for the Mk3...

Of course not, what I ment is that all the componates plug together in certain kits using etps and controllers.
