About 2 months ago I stopped at this guys door (had a supra sitting in his driveway, looked like it had been there for almost a year) and asked him if it was for sale, it wasn't. And about a week ago I heard that he might want to sell it. Talked to him a little bit and found out that he had bought it from a guy in Arizona and that zerocool had been a previous owner, did some reasearch and found a mod lists and what has basically been through.
Here is a thread when Zerocool had it, the paint doesn't look that great anymore, he had let it sit outside for almost a year in Iowa.

Too bad he let the paint go to hell.
Freshen it up and drive it!
I always loved that car. So very mild, and understated. The perfect DD for sure.

More current pics!!!

Lame. I thought this thread was going to contain an actual 2.5 TT-R

Congrats on the purchase.

It's not the exact 2.5 TT-R, but it is still an awesome car! It has the recaro interior, the 1jz w/ some mods, and the trim. Some rare parts, it needs some new paint though. When zerocool had the car it was really nice from what I've seen, wonder what he will say when he sees it now.. Too bad he let it sit outside, but we will get it looking better! Nick post some current pics..

Great to see this car get back to someone who can care for it! How is it running? I hope the engine wasnt as neglected as the exterior

The engine runs great and pulls hard, but he had a little "nos" sprayer mocked up in front of the throttle body and the ic pipe blows off when under full boost. So I got to make some hard pipes.

Wow, I remember seeing that car get sold. Can't believe the owner you got it from let it go to hell like that. I am glad to see that it is back in a real Supra owners hand. Keep up the good work and take care of it.

You *might* be able to tap where that nipple busted off and put on another, or take it out and have an aluminum tube welded on to replace it... Maybe JB Weld it if you can make it look nice??

That what I was thinking, I also thought that I could cut that one off and reweld another one from a stock 7m radiator that I have, are the stock radiators aluminum or steel? I might try to tap it.

Damn, that thing needs some serious TLC.

Clean it up and post some before and afters!

I'm workin on cleaning it up. I already fixed some little problems that it had, missing screws etc. But I discovered that my jdm folding mirrors are wired in wrong, when it is on the right side and i try to move it up or down the left side moves and vise versa.

The stock radiator is brass I believe, but it your going to JB Weld it that won't matter. Just make sure both mating surfaces are very clean! I think I'd try tapping the hole, getting a new nipple from a hardware store, smearing some JB Weld on the threads and screwing it in. Don't be afraid to smear some on the outside where the nipple meets the radiator after you screw it in. Just make sure you wipe of the excess, make it look nice, and let it cure completely before you run the car. I even have some JB Weld if you want to use it!
