It's the constant 12v mod.

It makes you fuel pump run 12v all the time. There's a Wright up around here some where ill try and find it when I get home.

You should upgrade o a single walbro but knowing what your car has its probably running after market fuel pumps anyway.

Why are all the supras in AZ...? :(
Ever been there? Other than the heat in the peak of summer (only ~120°... in the shade), the place is pretty much ideal for sports cars. Nice smooth roads, a few tracks to play with, a great car scene, minimal legal regulations that prevent you from having an awesome car. Oh, and the women, definitely the women... not to mention the FOOD. The food was why I could never afford to go anywhere fancy, food was too good. :p

As for getting the car running, I would suggest replacing the following:
-ALL gaskets. Can re-use the head gasket on 1j's, they are metal from the factory. Not sure if you can re-use the turbo manifold gaskets or turbo to downpipe gaskets.
-ALL rubber parts, these are likely fried by now on a 20 year old engine.
-Anything else you don't want to have to fix with the engine in the car. Remember, it's always easier to work on an engine that is mounted on a stand. ;)

iifrc. Every gasket on my 1j was steel.. I just copper sprayed them and reused.. I did get a new head gasket . And for ure do the front and rear mains. And cam seals. And output shaft seal in tranny . I would replace the vavle guid seas.may be cheaper to just order a full gasket set for 1j. But I'm not sure on that.. u will get every seal that way

I would also start shopping arp. In most cases or at for me when I did my motor. Apr headstuds and most other bolts where cheaper than the one time use tty toyota bolts. If not the same price.
I would do head studs and flywheel bolts for sure . Depending on how deep your digging into your motor

So I'm gonna have to buy new head bolts anyways if/when I take the head off? I might as well buy them then. And it's goin in a auto so do I still need a flywheel? Lol

FYI, (if you haven't figured this out on your own yet) the auto trans that comes with most 1JZ engines is a direct drop in. You can use your old trans too using the bellhousing that comes with the new trans. All the A34X series toyota autos use the same trans to bellhousing pattern as far as I've ever seen.
