Lol trust me, Ive met the boost bug. My other ride is an F250 PowerStroke with a turbo the size of my girlfriends jetta. I suck up small children and animals goin down the road haha. But I really can't be having 600hp in something this small because my girl is selling her car and gonna start driving the Supra to school. Really just need quick, reliable trans at the moment. Maybe in a few years... ;)

You say all that now... all those big bad diesel guys think they're fast (in relation to other trucks, sure), because the torque makes them feel fast, but in reality, a decently powerful car with at least half the power will eat them alive most of the time.

Hence, my Hello Kitty sticker:

...adds insult to injury when they not only get their ass handed to them by a 'ricer', but a 'ricer' with that on the window. I think word got around within a year, I don't get too many people trying to goad me into playing with them anymore.

The difference is the torque, with so much of it a diesel has a stupid fast 0-60, but anything past that is less than impressive. I repeatedly take my buddy's '12 5.0 tuned mustang from stoplight to stoplight, anything longer and I'll never see him again. I feel pretty fortunate to be able to live on both sides of this situation and see the differences (I get odd looks from people I used to work with when I pull up in the truck lol) but I will always love being able to set the cruise at 90mph and take curves at twice the posted speed :)

Yes blitz ecu is only for manuals. And as far as trying to use your a340e you will need to find a bellhousing that will work and I've never seen one personally.

The swap is fairly easy I'm using a chaser 1jz with a jza70 harness and ecu I extended the wires 18inches to get it to fit in a LHD car

I have both the manual and auto Blitz Access ECU...

Well, it is still impressive, considering you're moving an 8000+ lb truck. I still think your buddy needs to learn to drive though, unless you're a hell of a wheel man yourself. :)

Try those corners in a Miata with a decent set of tires/alignment sometime. Triple the "suggested" speed is really no big deal. :p

Been goin through it (56 pages, holy hell) and I'm really just second guessing myself alot, I still really can't believe I actually have the engine finally. I've never done anything this involved before so I'm skitzing out a little right meow

Yeah it can be overwhelming. The main issues people have is the harness. I recommend that be your next step in getting it done by dr tweak or buying one from him.

I'm actually giving him a call in the morning, I'm surprised nobody has a complete kit to swap in a 1JZ with everything you need to have it running. You would think DM would have covered that by now...

Their almost there. They're selling Phoenix tuning (dr tweak) harness fr 2jz swaps. The thing is swaps are jot always the same. Some want AC some don't. The body harness on the mk3 changed so often so there's a lot of variables when doing these swap. No swap will be identical . Haha

Dude! Reading your buddy's build thread right meow, what was the fan setup you bought him?
And yeah I'm noticing there are too many variables to sell just one kit :/ PITA
