Wear is a consideration for sure, but I don't put many miles on the car anymore, 7000km / year if I'm lucky. I'm more than willing to throw $500 / year at my car in tires, you gotta pay to play.

I had Falken Azenis Sport tires on there before, they stuck to the road like glue.

Ya, mold release is still on 'em - hell, they had yellow hand written codes on the tread surface, looked like it was painted on, and I haven't worn THAT off yet. Ask me again in a couple weeks how they stick. :)

Hasn't hit in the back yet, and I run ST springs... hopefully it won't. I haven't rolled the fenders either, so at least I can if I have to, should get me some extra room back there.

Someone on here was running 315s on the back... I'm sure he'd rolled the fenders, and I've no clue what width and backspacing his rims were.

^not with good working suspension and proper offset on the wheels.

Nice tread pattern on those, why'd you go with 225's in the front? Even Duane has 235's and he likes em skinny :biglaugh:
225 was what I had on there before, this way I didn't need to test fit and worry about rubbing on turns. I've never managed to break the front wheels loose, so obviously the contact patch was big enough.

i run the same on mk4 rims, 275/40/r17 rear, and 255/40/r17 front. slight rubbing on full lock, but i adjusted the bump stops to compensate.

i'm lowered on konis/eibachs, and still on stock sway bars. my car sticks to the road like glue, and i love it! they're a great tire for sure!
