They've got more balls than I do. And I've done some pretty crazy shit behind the wheel now and then. I've managed to break them loose once, on a left hand turn at full boost. They started to squeal, and then very politely started to spin and slide sideways just a bit. Pulling back on the throttle just a touch let me regain complete control.

sweet! i think i am sold. so compared to your old tires which ones rate out better? i remember seeing the ones you had last year at centrallia. forget what they were but looked like they would handle pretty good. the large tread blocks.

No idea, I bought the rims second hand, and they were already on a Mk3 so I knew they would fit.

Anyone know where / what to measure to figure this out?

Measure the total width of the wheel or read it off the inside of the wheel.

If it's a 9 inch let's say, measure 4.5 inches on either side to get the middle.

Then measure the distance from the mounting surface to to that centrepoint.

If the hub is closer to the car than the centre, it is considered negative.

If the hub is closer to the outside of the wheel, i would be positive.

Divide the inch difference by 25.4 to get millimetres

These are better by a significant amount, and those were fantastic.

Very nice Dave!

Grippy?
That would be an understatement. They stick like someone screwed and glued them to the road. As you know, my car is far from stock, so full boost in 1st gear while turning is a fair bit of torque, and I can only BARELY make them break loose under those conditions. It's pretty much impossible to do donuts.
