have to agree there.....thats a close relative to my favorite dog....Red Nose Pitbull...it aint a dog if it aint mean as shit

You're an idiot. People like you are the reason Am Staffs, Pits, and other bully breeds (not to mention breeds like Dobermans, Rottweilers, and my Akita) are getting banned in communities.

Pit bull type dogs are NOT SUPPOSED TO BE AGRESSIVE TOWARDS HUMANS. You morons have bred the human-agression into them, destroying their reputation and their trustworthiness.

If it's mean as shit, it's a liability. One, unfortunately, the dog must pay for, not the shitty owners.

And to show how ignorant you are - NO BREED has a "locking" mechanism in their jaw.

And the breed with the highest jaw pressure on average? The Airedale terrier.
The breed with the highest jaw pressure recorded: The Rottweiler.

I'd take a Beagle over any "mean" dog any day of the week.

Pitbulls and those types of terriers are the ugliest dogs ever. :(

I know some people really like them, but I don't understand what the heck for.

my god sir....such a horrendous statement....Red Nose Pitbulls or just Pitbulls in general are very beautiful dog

my house will have 1 Red Nose Pitbull, 1 Doberman, 1 Rottweiler and maybe a English Bulldog...but thats a long ways from now

Nor mine. My breeds of choice are what you would call "mean" dogs - I have an Akita, and am a fierce defender of American and English Staffordshire terriers and the American Pit Bull Terrier.

It's usually complete rednecks or wiggers that like "mean" pits with "big neck muscles" and "SHOW ME THE BIL-JACK SO HE CAN GET BIG FAST!!" and "do you carry any neck-chains? I want 'im to have a big neck."

Pit dogs were dog fighters. NOT human fighters. Originally, any pit dog that showed any human agression was culled on the spot. They were supposed to be 100% bombproof when it came to humans. They are supposed to be great watch dogs, but bad guard/protection dogs for that reason.

And what are you defending yourself from with a dog?

its always good to have a "mean" dog for protection in a house in case of break ins etc....im sorry just in my honest opinion i dont see how like a golden retriever or something of that nature can be a good guard dog...when i think of dogs like that i think of a family dog thats very loveable, of course the pit can be a great family dog as well they just tend to not be good with strangers cuz of their tempers...you have to train them well and have good knowledge of the breed when you have that kind of dog and i do agree with you that the akita is a very good dog and a very good sight to look at

No, it's not. I urge you to do more research on the stigma of this breed and how law works (or doesn't, in mose cases) when it comes to dog bites/maulings.

In many places, if someone breaks into your house, and your dog tears him up, the dog is put down, and you're held liable.

In some places, even having a "BEWARE OF DOG" sign is considered admitting guilt to an agressive dog.

my theory is....the mother f'er shouldnt have been in my house in the first place...thats like that whole story about the guy who broke into someones house, hurt himself and then sued the owners of the house

as far as the dog goes...it wont get that far cuz IF im in the house the dog will restrain him long enough for me to get my gun and then just kill the guy :)

as for laws go....thats a total bullshit law....if someone breaks into my house he deserves to have his/her ass handed to them from a dog thats protecting his home

what vick did was def a no no....i def do not believe in dog fighting or harming a dog in any way just for viewing pleasure...i just like my dogs big and muscular...there is no laws about helping your dog build muscle and putting a big chain around its neck is not harming the dog in any way shape or form....thanks ;)
