New proprieters of 7mpower.com = Failures

It's been five months, and still no new updates. I think To4r.com updates more frequently, and that is saying a lot. I hear of plenty of people sending in applications, or updates for their section, and yet nothing happens.
What was the site intended for? Is it just a museum for old 80's technology, or is it a place for immaculant Mkiii's to be noticed and to help keep the support for the Mkiii alive and able to grow far into future generations? I prefer the latter.
Personally, IMHO, I think Supramania.com should buy the rights to the site and support it.

Disclaimer: I think I remember hearing something about whoever runs the site being in the military? If I remember correct. If true, please ignore this thread. :)

If not...

Discuss.

I'd be perfectly willing to take on running the place, but I am not willing to pay for it. And I'm sorry, but military service is not an excuse - the people who own it make their own priorities, they could have gotten someone to look after it while they were gone, and obviously this was not a priority for them.

I think we should make our own.

we could integrate it into this site, as a main link on the tool bar where search and user ctrl panel is.

Great idea. Maybe a special 'hidden' section for those that make over 400 rwhp, where a mod would have to be present at or in some way verify the dyno. And then extra photo/video space for those members to post hq pics and list their mods/buildups...

I think you're on to something there.

I had planned on making one for Supramania almost a year ago, but i was lazy and never did. I want automatic updates, so people can edit their pages themselves.

I guess I really should do that!

The original plan was to have 3 sections, 7M, JZ-powered, and others, others would be all encompassing to anything unique done to a MK3, while 7M and JZ-powered would have a 400rwhp SAE requirement.

Any thoughts?

i think the "others" idea is good too. it'll be a good spot for soapra conversions and the like.

im also thinking that maybe we should set a higher hp limit. maybe 450rw? nothing to drastic, and it will give the 400rw guys something to shot for. it will also make people mod more! :D

400 is a good 'entry' limit. Then the guys with 402 will feel like those of us who are currently mostly stock, like a whole new beginning watching the 600+hp guys talk about what their doing.
