Hey everyone! I'm Dave and have been a hardcore lover of the Supra for a long time. Yes way before Fast and the Furious. At this time I currently do not own one. I just can't seem to find any in the Pennsylvania or New Jersey area that are within reason. I know they hold rank and value but mostly what I'm talking about it finding nothing but automatics, needs way too much exterior work like rust and major body damage to finding nothing but an empty shell without an engine.
I'm not too mechanically inclined but would like to have something to work with and hopefully be able to do some of the upgrades to it myself. I've heard of swapping the auto for manual but not sure on all what would be need parts wise, money, how to do it and if I couldn't do it anyone around here willing to help. Plus I wouldn't want to pay crazy amounts for labor and to my knowledge there aren't very many if at all any Supra owners in my area. Least I've yet to see anyone.
Right now I'm looking for a 1987 through 1994 version/model of the Supra and willing to pay up to $5,000 as that's all I've been able to save for the actual car. If I'm going to be modding and upgrading I wouldn't want to spend too much more since I'm wanting to put the rest into parts and upgrades. But like I said I can't for the life of me through all the search sites find a decent one to work with. Anyone know of any in these parts and is anyone from this area?
I have recently found these two. Links posted...

Just not sure how much the first one would cost with fixing the head gasket and all. And the second one I know needs a new transmission and I would want to swap out the auto for manual but not sure. What it comes down to is I'm going to be upgrading/fixing it all anyway over the next few years anyway so I might as well go ahead and take what I can get right? Just not sure which one would cost more or be more cost effective? I've contacted the second poster to see pictures and would definetly be checking it out to make sure there is nothing else wrong other than what is mentioned.
Just thought these two might be my last hope since I can't find any others and the prices aren't too bad with what needs to be done I would be upgrading these parts anyway and am willing to pay up to $5,000 so with labor or whatever needs to be fixed I'd probably be at that price anyway with one or the other.
Wow sorry for the book but I'm stoked to be here and finally able to post! More stoked to finally get my hands on a real beast of a car and hopefully find some Supra lovers in my area! Nice to meet you all and again I apologize for the book but I could talk Supra night and day!
(Sorry if I shouldn't have posted all this extra stuff in this forum)
