I currently am trying to sell mine.. but no one orings 7M's so.. :)

As long as the gasket seals the coolant & oil passages with out an issue i'd say it is a great gasket to buy and possibly will cost less than a stopper.

SCE part number 92103 = .032" (.8mm) CHG
SCE part number 92104 = .043" (1.09mm) CHG
SCE part number 92105 = .050" (1.27mm) CHG
SCE part number 92106 = .062" (1.57mm) CHG
SCE part number 92108 = .080" (2.03mm) CHG
SCE part number 92109 = .093" (2.36mm) CHG

Yeah, they've got a 7M print around there somewhere ;) ICS Titan gasket wanted plz :D

If nobody hears anything on this, I'll call up there Monday and see if we can get them to build us an ICS Gasket! With Spring Break coming up, I'd be more than happy to test it for them.

Yea I'll contact Ryan again on Monday and let him know that they already have the prints for the 7m :p

This makes it even easier!!

Are the ICS gaskets re-useable reliably regarding the seal compound they apply arround the ports? or is it necessary to use an extra sealer on the gasket?

If they are re-useable thats even better. I know people say MLS gaskets are re-useable but from my experience with 2 MLS gaskets is the black coating on them peels off when you pull the head off which can cause sealing issues.

It doesn't matter how good this gasket is, if you keep putting a new headgasket on a non flat or pitted block, you will be one of the many BHG recycles. Don't some of you wonder why you get BHG over and over, yet others never do?

You still need a flat head and block, regardless of surface.

I spoke with SCE Gaskets on Monday, he is going to call driftmotion to get a block and head from them. If driftmotion cant supply then I'll send my friends junked block and head down for him to do the design off of.

The current copper gasket they sell isn't designed directly from a block and head. It also does not have the coolant passages mapped properly to allow the design of an ICS Titan with sealed coolant passages.

Since there is plenty of interest in this I will do my best to get SCE a block and head, asap.

Hell yes. Nick, you are right - but I've not seen a Greddy or HKS test their gasket @ 43psi yet ;) The fact that the gasket will seal on a 80ra puts it into the realm of a machinist that may be able to get a good flat seal, but not have a CBN machine to get it down to the proper RA.

And for us in rural areas, you can't find anyone with a freakin' profilemeter!

I spoke with Ryan's son today, as Ryan is out on business.

He is, according to his son, getting organized with our friends at Driftmotion to have a block and head shipped to SCE. They are 100% ready to go on the design, all they need is the block and head delivered.

Design could take anywhere from 3 weeks to 2 months. They have to map out the sealed coolant passages as well as get the specially designed coating material set up by 3M Innovation (they don't use Viton, but a custom material).

Once I know that the gasket is in the design phase, I'll get a group buy started. :)

As this progresses I'll keep posting here.

try and find a cost figure (non group buy) just for an idea of what they will run compared to MLS gaskets already available.

Edit. I obviously missed that, however i have read the thread since it started.

If you had READ THE THREAD, you would have found that these are going to be an estimated 200USD for a stock thickness gasket, and 300USD for a 2mm thick HG.

This is comparable to an HKS Stopper, which in theory, the SCE Titan should match in sealing quality.

Mr Baboon, keep us all updated. I'm going to call SCE and speak with Ryan a little about the gasket today - I'd like to be one of the first to get in on this buy - and if the timing is right, I will hopefully be one of the first to test this little gasket out :)
