Lookin good there champ.
I bet your all fired up for summer when its all together!!

I'm not sure what the deal is on the dual exhaust gaskets. I've seen them sandwiched on one car before, though it'd been neglected long enough that I couldn't tell if it leaked.
I've also purchased an OEM exhaust manifold gasket and it came paired up and riveted together. I separated them and ran my engine without an issue.

Ok cool, so just the one gasket installed on the exhaust should be fine. I'm trying to figure out what all the other gaskets go to. Most look like oil and water fitting gaskets so ill just do a search for them. Till then i'm just ordering some parts I don't really need just want to have lol.

Also i'm just waiting to find time now. I work like crazy (40+ hours) and go to school. And have a girlfriend. So time is my only issue now. But I have X-mas and the day after off, which will be nice.

Anyways, I'm in Florida so I can drive the car whenever and when I drove the car before the turbo use to love the cold weather, which only got down to 30 degrees at the worst. But again the turbo was really spool happy in that cold air, and I loved it lol.

So I shaved the little nubs off the motor mounts. Wasn't that hard of a task. Got into the base a little bit, but it shouldn't cause to much trouble.

Top and botom when brand new.

In the vice, it looks scared.

Both shaved off,

Ok so I got bored last night, and started putting a few little thing on. Not to much just a few. I am only needing to finish up a few more thing, like vacuum line, coolant lines, and the wiring. I also need to buy a Flywheel and turbo. But here are some pics of puting on some new pieces. So enjoy.

Got the motor brackets & 97-98 TT 2JZ mounts on.

Your telling me . I'm having a hard enough finding time to work on it, between school and full time job. But hopefully it will be well worth it when i'm done.

So I started re-taping the wiring harness. Ill be going to get the loom from my house tonight.

This is how far I got before I remember to take pictures lol.

p1654738_1.jpg

Up close of the connectors to the ECU.

p1654738_2.jpg

Connectors that I dont remember where they go to. But I will.

p1654738_3.jpg

first wire off the main bundle:)

p1654738_4.jpg

Then I got to this cluster of wires.

p1654738_5.jpg

Section by section from here on out.

p1654738_6.jpg

p1654738_7.jpg

p1654738_8.jpg

I don't know exactly where this wire goes. The colors are Yellow wire, green strip, with brown or red dots. So If anyone has an idea, where it goes that would be great. Its in the bundle off the harness that crosses back over the front of the valve covers. If not ill find it in Cygnus. Hopefully lol.

Wow, ok so today after work I got a whole lot done. But I left the camera at my girlies house so no pics. Anyways Ill give you guys a little run down of what happened.

1. Went though my box of all 7MGTE parts and found a ton of bolts and nuts that ill be reusing. Its nice to have a motor to use them on :)

2. Took off my cam gear, to paint and put them in a pile including (valve covers, cam gears, lower and upper plenum's, power steering res., solid oil feed line ) which will be cleaned then painted.

3. Found bolts to both my fender, and drive-shaft. Very happy about this.

4. Found knock sensors and installed them.

5. Found block to turbo, solid oil feed line. And installed.

6. Confirmed my thoughts on the line that I had no idea where it went to (2 post above)

7. Tomorrow after work my plan is to clean, and maybe paint. And definitely take pictures. Until then.

I got a ton of stuff done last night. Started with some painting. Got the lower and upper plenum's painted, the cam gears, and guard, turbo oil return line, and i think thats its. I also started installing some of the new gaskets. I installed the exhaust manifold, and gasket. Waiting to get a blown turbo to have it rebuilt. But i'm still looking. Other then that, the motor might be ready for the harness tonight. So more pics will come.

Lets started with some pics of the lower intake that I got installed.

Oil return line painted

p1655817_3.jpg

New gaskets installed

p1655817_4.jpg

New water neck gasket

p1655817_5.jpg

Tonight the plan is to get the upper plenum on, and the throttle body ready.

Tonight was filled with stuff. I got some stuff done on the motor. I spent more time cleaning my shop (a carport) then anything. Lol. Anyways. I started off with finishing up some painting. I painted the upper plenum tonight but didn't like how it came out so ill be redoing it soon. I also removed the power steering pump, I don't think ill be running power steering so why have it there. Painted the motor mounts, but ill be redoing those also. Installed the cam gears and their guard. Installed a gasket on the CPS but i don't know if its the right one, i have pics to explain. Something funny that happened tonight, I broke a transmission support bracket. I don't know how but I did. I have plenty of pics so lets get to those. :)

How I started the night.

p1656068_1.jpg

Cam gears & guard

p1656068_2.jpg

Bottom portion of the motor which no one will see anyways so its all good.

p1656068_3.jpg

This is the support bracket I some how broke. I was just ratcheting it down., with barely any pressure and this happened.

p1656068_4.jpg

p1656068_5.jpg

Found my old support bracket to my R154, and it fit like a charm

p1656068_6.jpg

New Toyota oil filter.

p1656068_7.jpg

This is the gasket I put on the CPS but idk if its the right one.

p1656068_8.jpg

p1656068_9.jpg

Let the EGR and vacuum deleting begin

p1656068_10.jpg

p1656068_11.jpg

Cold start injector installed (This is where it goes correct?)

p1656068_12.jpg

p1656068_13.jpg

Under side of the plenum when I finally remembered where the brackets and vacuums go.

p1656068_14.jpg

A lot of sh!t going on at the same time so I stepped back and decided to do some cleaning.

p1656068_15.jpg

This is how I left it tonight. Its a lot better and cleaner then when I started. And I found a lot of nuts and bolts, that I think ill be able to use some time down the road.

Also I'll be ordering a flywheel and turbo soon. A remachined flywheel. And a recently rebuilt ct-26. Umm Ill probably do more stuff tomorrow but I'll post that when I get pics:) till then I can't wait to get some work done.
