ok so I live in FL and ran across this on craigslist. I have went by and checked it out and all looks decent for a project supra. The guy whats a PS3 and I have one that I do not use and I am thinking of trading. check the link and tell me what ya think.

89 supra Turbo Targa 5spd with the sports package.

I am planning on shaving the side trim and rear which mean repainting anyway. Interior is complete and has a aftermarket front strut bar, Fuel pressure reg, gauges, suspension, alarm, Pilot Steering wheel, short shifter, and the engine is complete but running in limp mode. I have a Blazer which is my daily driver until this is complete. seem like a good deal?

Is there really a tach mounted to the rear view mirror?

LOL that's interesting...

to the OP, if you are in for a project and the motor does have a fresh, quality rebuild, then I would think it was worth it. the limp mode issue is kind of worrisome.

for 500 bucks or a ps3/360 i would buy it for the hell of it what do you got to lose other then 500 bucks or a game system?
i would go to the pawn shop and get a used 360 and a few games i am sure you can find one for under 200 bucks then trade him for the supra

well I sold my old supra about two years ago and have missed it ever since. Then I ran across them one which is everything I was looking for 89+ Targa which does not leak and 5spd so I am planning on doing it and plus I can replace the PS3 alot cheaper than picking up a good shell everything.

plus its not like it has to run tommorrow I can fix it and do some trick mods at the same time. Add to that its way cheaper then buying another car running and it would not be a supra and how many cars came with a targa not many.

buy that thing!

with some paint it could look pretty nice. i really like that interior without the lame mods. you can't go wrong with the price. the tranny and some other parts is worth $500.

Bottom line is that the car is overall in great shape and can be rebuilt even if I have to order a motor or something along those lines it will still be way cheaper than buying one normally I really thinK from talking to the guy he has no idea what he has. He doesn't seem to know anything about cars.

looks good man i wouldn't doubt its worth the 500$ in parts alone. as for the tach in the rear view.. looks as if you know what rpm you're at when looking for cops in the rear view. otherwise it looks pretty useless and hideous... i can barely see my damn gps and its mounted right infront of me

defiantly not a bad starting point. I got receipts on the motor rebuild on 10/110/05 they spent $3568 bucks include is new head, GTE block, NA cam's, and all the labor and machining.

Rust. Lots of it. :3d_frown:

Find a nice rolling chassis and turn this one into a parts car.
