I feel like the extra money spent on CP's isn't really worth it for a 400hp build, and like I was saying earlier it sounds like they tend to slap more than others when cold, but if anyone has had personal experience with them that would be great.

I love cp pistons been using them in every build from Hondas to nissans and on my own supra. When you put this engine together did you check your crank lateral movement with the bearings and thrust washer installed with a dial indicator

Yeah, crank endplay was checked with a dial indicator and was in specs when I assembled the engine.

Doubt crank walk would pop out those spiral-locks.

Maybe not a serious crank walk but extra lateral movement which will cause a harsh vibration. It's a long shot but thought I'd throw it out there.
